Worth the dollars
Nice and easy to use and refill once you read the instructions! 😂 Solid, great grind, stainless on the pepper and ceramic in the salt. I'm a month or so in and loving them. Good solid "clicks" as you select the coarseness levels. Very happy as an amateur but enthusiastic home cook. Will update the review in the future if I have any issues. 06/2026

Awesome - Love them but...
The pepper mill is exceptional. It grids so well. The salt mill is hard to turn and I tried another salt mill exact same at a Costco Road Show ($40 cheaper for the set). The guy running the road show said it depends on the kind of salt you use in the grinder to some degree. Some salt is hard to grind so maybe look for a bit finer salt. A bit disappointing because I have a giant bag of Himalayan sea salt to go through but that was his suggestion. Also a little gentle back and forth can help get small amounts of salt out (but do not grind backwards). They are also surprisingly heavy but overall they are great and lifetime guarantee!

The Gatling Guns of Salt and Pepper dispensers.
I was in the market for a decent salt and pepper mill, after years of faffing with cheap sub-par mills and supermarket disposables. I wanted something that would dispense salt and pepper with ease, and at a rate that was easy to control, without clogging, and these from Hexclad deliver in spades. The moment you open the bespoke packaging, you know you're dealing with items that benefit from precision engineering. Once filled with coarse salt and pepper corns respectively, they deliver a dispense rate that can only be described as epic. For the first couple of weeks use, I did find that the tops of the grinders were a little on the stiff side, but once they're bedded in, grinding salt and pepper is actually quite the enjoyable experience. You really do feel like you're attending the prosecco party with a bottle of Dom Pérignon P3 Plénitude. Over the coarse of the last 12 months, my hexclad grinders have liberally seasoned my ingredients with the care-free abandon of a road gritter in winter. Be mindful though, that it will chew through peppercorns like a power station, if you're used to grinding with a disposable, plastic grinder. A few cranks of the top hex nut is all that you need. If you're too enthusiastic, you'll empty the pepper corns quicker than the fuel tank of a bugatti Veyron at full chat on the test ring at Nardo. I love them!

Heavier and more consistent grind than other salt and pepper mills I have.
When I found this HexClad salt and pepper grinder set, I have to admit that I thought the price was excessive. Since I am familiar with HexClad products, I am familiar with the quality. So, I decided to try this set. I do have a few other set to compare this set to, manual, battery operated, and lighted. Personally, I prefer the manual grinding sets since the battery operated ones require as many as 6 batteries for each grinder. Although the batteries do last for a while, it can be expensive when the batteries need to be replaced. So, what are the pros and cons of this salt and pepper grinder set? PROS: 1) This set screams quality as it is heavy weight and looks to be very durable. 2) This set looks very professional and with the stand has a high-end appearance. 3) Although the size is not as large as other sets I have, it is not obtrusive and looks nice on the table. 4) Whatever grind size is set, the grind is consistent. With other sets I have, the grind provides small and larger pieces no matter what grind size is chosen. 5) Each turn of the grinders provides a good, consistent amount of salt or pepper as compared to other grinders I have. Some of the other sets I have take a while to get any amount of seasoning out of them. 6) Once the desired grind size is chosen, the grind is consistent. 7) Removing the top to refill is much easier than other grinders I have. Just push a button on the top, and the top comes off for refill. Others I have the top screws on, and, most often, it gets stuck and is hard to open even though I try not to screw it on too tight. 8) After the top is removed, the opening for refill is larger enough to make refill easy. 9) The grind on both grinders is adjustable with a dial on the bottom of each grinder. The dial is easy to turn for adjustments. Cons: Really, the only con I can think of is the adjustability of the grind. These grinders are suppose to have 10 adjustable setting, but 10 settings are not discernible on the dial. The dial turn past both the fine and coarse settings. There are some clicks when making adjustments, but there are not 10 of them. Adjustment of the grind has to be played with to get the grind you want. Overall, I really like this set and feel it is worth the price paid for the consistency of the grind once it is set. I also very much like the look and weight of this set. Hopefully, the "high efficiency burr" lasts longer than a ceramic burr. As compared to the many less expensive sets that I have, I do believe this set is well worth the price and would recommend it.

Chic, robust und funktional
Nachdem ich die großen Mühlen bereits genutzt habe, sind diese Kleinen auf meinem Esstisch gelandet. Sehen chic aus, sind robust und mahlen genial. Toll!
