So for some reason people assume small = cheap, and treat lav mics, and especially the windshields and clips as disposable. So we get through a lot of clips. This means I have given up buying the premium replacements. These aren't super quality - I have had at least one fail fairly quickly - but that said, I have had the expensive ones fail equally quickly. So if we start from the premise that they are going to get killed anyway, you could do a lot worse than use these.Overall not bad. One star off because the way the mic clip fits to the croc is just moulded through and will snap off if pulled or twisted. (Yes - you shouldn't pull or twist them - but people DO. No idea why.. The operation of a simple alligator clip should be self explanatory, but hey..)So I will buy more, because the price is right for the results I get.

The 12mm dimension seems to be the external measurement of the mic holder and it did not fit my Sennheiser mics which are 12mm dia. I guess ID is about 7mm
