I've only just put them out, so they're not really cat-tested yet. But I like what I've noticed so far.(a) they can stack neatly and compactly. I'll be keeping the cardboard box they came in, and (hopefully) I can stack them neatly and compactly, and put them away during the day.(b) I also bought a 2pk of similar spiky plastic mesh that comes in the form of a roll. These clear plastic sheets are easier to use on tables and counters because they lie flat. The roll might eventually do so, but at this point it wants to curl up (have to hold the ends down with something heavy on top). Also, these clear plastic sheets are easier to position around the sink, appliances, etc. AND they don't look as bad as a big black plastic roll (which, to be fair, is meant for use outdoors).At this point I'll be looking to see if these sheets slide around too easily. The cats might turn them into play things if that the case, but maybe a glue dot in the middle of the back of the sheet would solve that problem.I'll update if there are any significant +'s or -'s as they're 'play tested'.UPDATE: These are great! Kitties know not to jump up if they see them. Even though we stopped having them spread on the (higher) kitchen counter, the cats haven't been up there. On the dining room table (lower, compared to the height of the kitchen counters), they'll jump up if we don't have the sheets carefully deployed.A nice feature of these is that you can overlap them to make them fit different dimensions.

I bought these because I have been trying to figure out a way to get my dog to stop jumping on my door and scratching it. my door has a large, double paned, glass insert and it has started to come loose. I stuck a few of these to the glass and she didn't even try scratching it. If she does get brave enough, I know they will change her mind quick because these spikes are sharp! the plastic sheet is very sturdy, and they seem like they will last a long time. my only complaint is that I would like more glue tabs, but overall great product.I'm not sure how well this would work on a couch to deter a cat. when my cat saw me putting it up on the window, he immediately came up and started chewing on them haha. if I put them on my couch, i think he would easily knock them off either on purpose or just out of curiosity. you would need to have a grippy backing of some sort to be effective, I would imagine.

I was super excited about this product. One of my cats absolutely loves knocking everything off my nightstand early in the morning to wake us up. We have had to cat proof so much stuff. I thought this was a great alternative to try to teach her not to get on counters, tables, etc. But nope. It just didn't work. I returned it and am at a loss of what I can do now.

Cats won't step on BUT will find a way to do whatever it is you are trying to prevent. My cats had gotten into peeing on carpet, under a side table. They don't use that corner anymore because of these mats. Now they just pee on the edge of the mats so there.

The only bad thing about them is the little sticky pieces aren’t that sticky. They don’t stick to most surfaces.

We had one of our cats get up under the dash and she chewed a wire. Not good. Thankful it was Was fixable. To prevent her or any other of our 4 cats get up under there, we bought these and also a sct mat for the floor. So far it is working great. I just set one up on our counter also.

I used this product to keep my cats away from my plants on my windows and it works great. Haven't had an issue yet. As advertised you can use whole or cut. It is easy to cut as well. I also use to protect my little knick knacks that they manage to get a hold of

These do the job of keeping my fur babies off places that would harm them. They are not unsightly. I ordered a second box.
