Very low power
The media could not be loaded. This products only purpose is to provide a shock as a deterrent. At full power I rest my hand on the mat and feel nothing but a tingle. I highly doubt this Mat has the power to deter a newborn kitten.

It works!! Finally my search is done
I've tried all sorts of things to keep my cat off my kitchen counters. I tried a plastic mat with spikes, tin foil, motion sensor sprayer -- none worked. This works! He is still in the learning phase, he hasn't remembered that this mat is up there but when he does go up there he jumps off as soon as he hears the sound. He's off before any shock occurs. I like that I can choose between sound or shock or both.
