It really bothered me that I couldn't vacuum under my chest of drawers or heavy, hard to move sofa. Although I was able to vacuum under my bed, it was awkward since I had to get down on the floor. This little movable joint is perfect. My only complaint is that it should be included as one of the original attachments because it really makes this a whole house vacuum cleaner. I also bought the flexible hose attachment and the bendable hose for getting into small spaces. Both are great, but I use the low reach adapter every time I vacuum.

This prevents the V15 Absolute cordless vac power heads from rotating! Maybe because the V15 Absolute has the crevice tool stored in the wand which this attaches to, but your floor head brushes will not rotate with this low reach aftermarket adapter which then makes the vacuum useless. I ended up ordering the low reach adapter directly from Dyson and theirs works great with the V15 Absolute.
