Nice Soft Case for Gigapan Epic Pro or Other Camera Gear
I purchased this case to hold my Gigapan Epic Pro. I wanted the most compact case I could get with out the bulk of a hard pelican case. I had read a post on the web from someone else who used this case for a Gigapan Epic Pro and I had checked the dimensions to verify it would fit. I own other Mountain Smith Products and have been pleased with the quality. I also posted some user submitted photos to show the case in more detail. If you need more protection for traveling, this case will fit inside a standard roller carry-on. The case fits the Gigapan Epic Pro nicely with two zippered pockets on the lid for the extra camera cables and my Really Right Stuff rail (replaced the standard rail that came with the gigapan). I keep the power supply in a small padded pouch that fits nicely between the gigapan base and the camera support. The remaining space will hold the reflective sunshade I made for the system (when taking panos on hot sunny days) and a small tote that I can fill with rocks to add weight to the tripod hook. I will also add a block of foam to keep the contents from shifting during travel. The case would also be great if you want a wide opening case for traveling or storing other camera gear. For instance if you want to carry expensive gear on a trip with out a bag screaming "expensive camera gear inside" you can put this into another bag or larger backpack,or roller carry-on. Just to demonstrate the space I included a picture with a 7D camera body and the following lenses: 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS, 24-70mm F/2.8 L, 100mm F/2.8 IS L macro, MP-E 65mm macro, EF-S 10-22mm, 1.4 EX II, and 12mm extension tube. I didn't show the picture with the padded dividers in place but you can get the point that it will hold a lot. The larger padded dividers and wall of the case are textured to receive the velcro hooks, the smaller divers pads are smooth nylon with hooked velcro tabs. The interior of the case is a nice bright yellow making it easy to see the items inside. The case doesn't come with a shoulder strap but I already had a Mountain smith shoulder strap and you can use any generic strap.

Use the Cube to build your own photography suitcase for travel
I travel a lot and and I carried my camera & equipment in a large backpack. But my camera wasn't protected well and the overall weight on my back took its toll. So I purchased the Travel Kit Cube and a plain inexpensive carry-on wheeled suitcase (with a slot for a laptop) to substitute for the fancy and very expensive photographer suitcases specifically designed to carry photographic equipment. I can carry my Canon 5D Mark II, 3 lenses, 580 flash, and miscellaneous accessories (battery charger, remote cables, spare batteries, etc), medicine, spare eyeglasses, 17" laptop, charger and mouse, for a total cost of about $150 (the cube was $40 then). Also, and very important, this suitcase did not look like a the custom camera suitcases that thieves might look for.I have used this combination for trips around the US (it's small enough to carry-onto planes) and have found it quite satisfactory. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, nooks and crannies of the much more expensive photography suitcases, but I am satisfied.

Perfect fit for Gigapan Pro
Excellent build quality and does not scream Camera or computer gear to would be thieves! looks more like a softsided lunch box than a camera bag which is a good thing in my book.I was looking for a case to carry around my Gigapan pro and someone had suggesed thig bag would work. I does a great job, you have to remove the camera platform (the sliding part) and then it fits snuggly in the bag and the release cable, mounting plate, and platform piece fit in the pockets in the lid. Just be careful to not loose the compression thingie that the lock screw presses into when you slide off the platform.

Best Simple Photo Kit Out There
I initially purchased this so that it could be a carrier inside of an existing backpack. It was a little larger than I expected so it didn't fit my backpack. I began using it as a stand-alone pack, though, and now I love it. It's simple, straight-forward, and carries all of the gear that I need. I haven't had any problems with durability so far.One note: I changed the shoulder strap out for another padded one I had lying around the office and my shoulder thanked me. That's the one downside of this bag, but it wasn't a huge deal for me.

Great storage case (very very yellow inside)
I got this case to store my film camera gear that I don't use much.It is VERY well padded with cushy Velcro foam, and I would feel comfortable putting this in a truck bed with other gear. The case is quite large, and will not fit inside a normal backpack without mushing it down to fit. For those looking to use this as a backpack insert... Look for something smaller.

pricey but useful
This is a bit pricey for what it is which is a nylon zip up cube with a padded box with dividers inside. The idea of it is useful in that you can use it to protect lenses and camera bodies within a larger piece of luggage. I thought it would fit well in a standard backpack but it is a lot larger than it appears to be. Good for very specific uses but not as good as dedicated camera luggage or gear packs such as tamrac, etc.

Much larger than I anticipated.
I was hoping to fit this inside a carry-on for quick retrieval at security gates. Unfortunately it is much bulkier than I expected. It is definitely sized right to fit my camera gear but as another reviewer stated, it makes sense just to carry a dedicated bag instead. If this had a slip pocket to slide over my wheeled bag I might keep it. I started to keep it anyway thinking I might find a use for it at some point but decided to return it and put the funds towards another bag.

Great travel bag insert for photography equipment
This cube is well padded and includes enough padded inserts to custom pack my photography equipment, including a DSLR body, 3 lenses, extra batteries and charger with still enough room leftover for an additional body or another lens. I purchased this cube specifically to place inside my Lowepro Pro Roller Attache x50 Bag (fits perfect). Now, when traveling, I can pack the carry-on bag (included in the Lowepro Pro Roller Attache x50 Bag) as well as the roller attache.
