Very practical.

I tried to find some easy reading short stories for an ESL beginner. This entire book was one story. Crammed into one and a half pages of story lines, were enough new vocabulary words for there to be five pages of vocabulary definition. Anticipation, palpitations, diagnosis, this is just a little too much for a beginner trying to learn English. This book isn’t for beginners. I couldn’t return it quick enough.

This is a great book to help my ELL students pick up English through stories. When I have older kids who cannot tolerate the baby books, this book came to my rescue. They love it.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
