Leaving Review After Having This Bike for Over 5 Years
The balance bike concept itself is awesome. It has helped both my kids learn how to ride a bike faster than if we did training wheels all the way.For specifics about this bike:We got this bike over 5 years ago. 5 years ago, I did the research on all the balance bikes at the time, and I went with this one. This bike has gone through 3 childrenPositives:Lightweight (my 3 year old can pick it up herself), good color options, durable, easy to adjust the seat and handlebarsNegatives:I have no negatives. I’d get this same exact bike every time.Wear & Tear/PerformanceThis bike has gone through 3 children (my last one is still using it). We could even give it away and get 2 more children’s uses out of it if we wanted. After 5 years, here are the parts of the bike that has seen the most wear and tear from my kids: handlebar ends damaged, seat has peeled of on both sides from putting it down too hard, the color has faded from being in the sun, the brand label is peeling. Again, this is just from normal wear and tear. The bike itself was perfect for what we needed with our kids.

Perfect size
Bought for my 4 year old grandson for Christmas. He loves it. The quality is good and it is not too heavy for him to handle. Seat and handle bars are easy to adjust. He is quickly getting the hang of it.

Balance bike
My son is 30 months old. I saw one kid riding this bike in the park . Then i decided to buy dor my son. This bike was sitting in my living area for 2 weeks and all of sudden he started walking holding this bike and next week he started to ride on. I was so so happy.Me and my son loves this bike. So lightweight that even my son can pick up to change his direction because he doesn't not know how to turn. So comfortable and to balance.

Ultra Lightweight - slippery wheels
It is a great bike. My boy loves it. He is three and this things is sooo light (but strong and sturdy) that he can fling it around and do tricks and slide-outs. He rides it around the house like a crazy Evil Kenevil. This is part of the problem though. The frame is super lightweight AND so are the tires, which are made of a study solid foam of some kind. It is durable but also super lightweight and slippery on a lot of surfaces. Outside on rough cement and blacktop it is no problem but in the house on carpet and tile, or on smooth concrete, like the garage floor, or various other surfaces those wheels slide out. I can't count how many times he wipes out when on the surfaces - often times when he is just sitting in one spot and leans off to the side a bit. It's a mixed bag that it is so light, because he has total control and it is fun for him, until he hurts himself and the tears start flowing. He loves the bike and it is so awesome how he is really learning to balance in a fun way. I also got one for his older sister who I don't think would have ever graduated from her training wheels. Now she whizzes along on her balance bike (which has normal, but much heavier, wheels and tires) and loves to see how far she can go balancing. Balance bikes are definitely the best way to start a kid of learning to ride and all in all I would say these BIXE are a great option in terms of cost/benefit.

Great
Great price and very easy to put together my grandson enjoyed it wouldn't get off of it. Plus drug it around with him ( only 2 ) that how light it is. Why spend hundreds dollars on the name brand one . When this does the same thing

Company's response to issues is outstanding. Son loves the bike!
Updating this review! We originally received the bike without the main assembly that holds the handle bars and the front wheel into the main frame. We were disappointed because at the time of opening our nearly three year old was there and was very excited to play with the bike he was waiting several days for. I sent an email to the distributor and received a response the next day deeply apologizing and worked with us to get the part sent ASAP. Their rapid response (and stomaching the cost of shipping/more just to make us happy) really gave us a great experience. As for the bike itself: For the price it seems like a fine bike. The construction is definitely designed around a light rider so I wouldn't let older heavier kids sit on it. The bike seat's construction looks sound and has plenty of adjustment room. The handle bars also look like they can be adjusted a reasonable range. The wheels at first worried me but after some more tests they look like they'll endure a 2-4 year old.Ultimately for the price I can recommend this bike -- and while my initial experience was disappointing their quick response and willingness to do whatever is necessary (and beyond) to fix the situation really restored my faith in Amazon oriented companies.

My Son Learned to Ride on This
I got this balance bike for my son who was struggling on a bike with training wheels. The light weight and freedom from the pedals gave him alot of confidence, and he built up his balance very quickly. All in all my 4 year old spent about a month on this bike before moving on to a bike with pedals. Balance bikes are really the ONLY good way to learn to ride a bike and cant recommend this enough.Quality of this bike is fine, and more than good enough for its intended use. My son got very confident with this and was taking it off the curb and shredding after just a couple of weeks. The firm foam tires have performed admirably and will be good enough for the next kid we pass this on to.I was on the fence about spending more for a more well known brand, but I am very happy I went with this one. No regrets whatsoever.

Run, don't walk to this Bixe... you won't be sorry.
Bought this for our then 3-year-old.It's sturdy, easy to put together, and 2 years later, it's still in great shape, despite his putting a tremendous number of miles on it.We all love it so much we just ordered the 16" version, because he's growing out of the old one - which, other than a little tire wear looks and rides like the day it was delivered. And the best part of all - the Bixe taught him to really balance on a bike, on his own terms. at just under 5 now, he can coast nearly a full block without his feet touching the ground once. He'll never need training wheels, thanks to Bixe.Five stars and two GIANT thumbs-up.
