third pair
As noted in title this is my third pair of this style of Keen shoes. I previously had worn Merrells, but they changed design and it was no longer comfortable for me to wear. The toe box was made a little too narrow. The Keens have a better toe area for my wide feet. As far as the two prior pairs I had I replaced them because I was wearing out the tread on the shoes. They each lasted a good 2 years of almost daily wear. I did swap out the inserts for something that gave a little more cushion. I wear the shoes for hiking and daily wandering around. Waterproofing is a little iffy on the shoes. They do keep moisture out, but they are also kind of low cut so not like you can jump through creeks in them and not expect to get wet. Build quality has been very good on all pairs I have owned.I was half tempted to buy a second pair in a different color since they have worked for me so well.

This is my second pair. Love the fit, the design and waterproof for all weather. The first pair lasted us numerous miles of hiking in rugged areas and all weather. Won’t buy anything else now.

Perfect shoes
I just bought my second pair. The first remained intact for several years. These shoes protect your foot, have a good arch and are more than sufficient for most challenging weather. I love them!

Good alternative to snow boot, and comfortable.
I am in and out a lot at work, and can't stand wearing boots all day. This looks to be a perfect shoe to wear to work in the winter -- waterproof so if I step in a slushy puddle my feet won't be wet all day, but low enough that I can wear all day at work without having to change shoes when I get to work. I thought the color was going to be more gray, but it is sort of a gray/brown. That actually works well for me, but I wanted to note that, as in person they are not as gray as the picture looked. Other reviews indicated ordering 1/2 size up, which I did. That was a good suggestion, as I think my regular size would have been too tight. The heel area is a bit loose, but with thicker socks should be just fine.

Keen's run small
Love the shoes just had to exchange for a larger size. They have great tread for hiking and winter walking.

Happy with this hiking shoe
I have worn a pair of these shoes for years and they finally needed replacing. I was so happy to find that this model had not been changed because I am happy with them the way they are and it seems as if Keen is making their shoes narrower as time goes by. I am a female and have not been able to find a women's waterproof hiking shoe that is wide enough. There is some play in the heel as men's shoes tend to be wider in the heel than a women's but I have not had any rubbing issues and I put these shoes to the test. I normally wear a 9.5 - 10 in women's which would be about a 7.5 - 8 in men's but found I needed to go up to a men's 8.5 for the fit I needed. I was able to put these shoes on straight out of the box and go hiking with no break in time required.
