This cable is a USB Type-A connector to a Mico-B connector. The connector on the HP Prime is a Micro-AB connector that accepts either a Micro-A or Micro-B connector. Thus it does not have the notched corners of the Micro-B. That is by design, if you look at the manual you can use a Micro-A to Micro-B cable to transfer data between two calculators. If you are having problems with this cable it may be a driver issue.
