Sunbird Mix Soup Egg Drop

I love this soup mix! Easy to follow instructions, great taste, ready in minutes, great soup to make when you don't have much time to slave over the stove, but want a quick home cooked, warm, soothing soup. Wish they still carried this in the stores, but with this pandemic, I find myself shopping more on line to skip the mask mandate hassles of the brick-n-mortar stores.

My local Safeway quit carrying this (Go figure, it sold like crazy), so I ordered some from amazon. The first thing I checked was the date, and there was over a year before expiration. SunBird Egg Drop makes a great, quick and tasty lunch or breakfast. I usually use some salt-free chicken broth in place of some of the water and some good hot sauce as well. Fold in one or two eggs and you have a tasty, tasty meal. Recommended!

I can't find eggdrop like in stores in China, where the egg is in the packet. This requires you to vastly whip an egg, by which time the soup is boiling and you add the egg slowly. It's pretty good, better than the generic-ish Mart buy. Yes I'm that lazy and when a Real cook made me some it was as good as the average buy from China street vendors, some of them are great... some not so much. No msg added, though you can still claim that if one ingredient you use in the retail mix is loaded, right? I don't know but I do know I liked it and I will recommend it.

I can't find this in the grocery stores anymore and I'm so glad I can buy it here in bulk (and have, many times now). Expiration dates are always pretty far out and soup never tastes stale or old. Delicious with or without egg. I'll often use it in place of the ramen seasoning packets because it produces a much thicker consistency, which is something I prefer.

I’ve been buying this soup for years. It’s a perfect light meal with a Spring or Egg roll on the side. I can’t find it in local stores any more so now I order it from Amazon.

My husband & I love this soup! We can’t always find it in stores, so I began ordering it from Amazon in larger quantities without having to search for it in various supermarkets. Quick & easy to prepare, also. Thank you Amazon! TH

A great tasting, easy to prepare egg drop soup. Tastes as good as most restaurants. Takes about 5-10 minutes to prepare.

The first time I fixed this Egg Drop soup I made two packages at once, thinking I'd have leftover soup for the next day. Boy was I wrong! My family practically drank it. It was truly a big hit.The package instructions say to use 1 egg per package of soup mix. Personally, I make two packages at a time and add 3 eggs instead of 2 and we also add a little soy sauce.
