One of the best books I've ever read
Kapil is not for everyone, but if he resonates with you I think you will find his work profound.

Amazing read, but you have to be ready for it beforehand
A very informative read, however you must have the requisite life experience beforehand to truly understand many of the points.

Buy This Book for yourself, friends, colleagues, and loved ones!!
Buy This Book for yourself, friends, colleagues, and loved ones!! I recently read "Atmamun" and "A Master's Secret Whispers" back to back and have already circled back to uncover even more.I particularly enjoy Dr. Gupta's direct, raw, authentic style. He's not afraid to tell it exactly how it is and could care less about Popularity Landgrabs covered in 10 Step Motivational Wrapping Paper or bragging about his war stories and client list - it's about the uncompromising Truth in life. It may take a second to adjust to his style or concepts but the eye opening is well worth it.I've also found his discussions on 33 Voices to take on even more meaning having read these books (can be found on Soundcloud or Kapil's Twitter @KapilGuptaMD.)I highly suggest others do the same as the contextual situations and discussions within both books allow for deeper understanding.

Freedom is not arbitrarily handed down.
If you're really seeking the Truth, this book will refresh you. Our society is filled with prescriptions, which leave people confused. Lost. Dipping their toe in the water from the shore, instead of jumping wholeheartedly into the ocean. That's certainly been the case in my journey so far. Not anymore.I appreciate this book's style, too. It's a non-teaching. Dr. Gupta often inverts common questions, which is a powerful approach. Instead of asking "How can I be happy?", he asks "Why don't I feel at ease already?". The first question leads to 500 gurus and a thousand meditation techniques -- confusion. Whereas the latter leads to more questions, silently illuminating the path. There's no bullshit here. If your intention is sincere, you will feel the essence of the book in your marrow.

Life changing wisdom, dialogue between a master and his student. Easy read. Really has helped my life for the better.

this is the first book that I’ve read and loved and would not recommend to anyone just because they ...
When I finished reading this book for the first time, I started over at the beginning and read it again. This book has been immensely helpful for me in my process, and likely in ways that I can’t understand right now. That being said, this is the first book that I’ve read and loved and would not recommend to anyone just because they were interested in spirituality or self help or something of that sort. Gupta has a very interesting angle into truth and liberation, and I would imagine his way of pointing at truth doesn’t resonate with the vast majority of people. I will say that if you truly believe in the possibility of liberation for yourself this book could be well worth your time.

Buy this book when you are ready for the truth
I have read many books on “truth”; I’ve long thought of myself as a truth seeker. However, no book has moved me like this one.I want to give it as a gift to a friend as to teach him truth. But it’s not really that kind of book; it’s the kind of book you discover on your own when you are ready in order to learn the truth. You will slowly see yourself go from disagreeing with things in this book to eventually disagreeing with everything you’ve ever learned or been taught. Mark my words. This book changes you forever. Just be ready for it.

Short, to the point
The book is structured in question-answer format. The answers of the master character are short, to the point, and sometimes not in line with common believes. I enjoyed the read.

Hard to accept but it is true
The book is about truth of human life....We all are chasing happiness but actually we are chasing unhappiness...... Freedom is the only happiness one needs to find.It is hard for an ambitious man to accept that he is running towards his goal which is always materialistic for eg becoming the top most appointment in a hierarchy or buying the world's most costliest car or anything of this sort...he is actually bringing more despairs and turmoils in his life. Also it has a beautiful topic regarding parents and children where in the author mentions that parents or for that matter grandparents are so much obsessed with their children they literary own them... without realising a fact that the child is a unique individual and he is on this earth because its natures way of multiplying the organisms....I really liked one of the lines in this book which literally hit me ..... It is " thought is a liar"I recommend this book to be read by all adults as well as old people ...this is the ultimate truth.

Hard, Raw, Dry Truth
Only recommended for the people who want to boil the ocean. Though currently offered on a platter, the teaching is available only to the willing. This wisdom tradition is offered only people who are committed to a life dedicated to the truth under hard tutelage in harsh conditions of a Himalayan hermitage. Gives us new lenses to watch everything.
