Without a doubt the best Colt .45 auto shop manual i have ever seen.

I wanted a bit more information in regards to caring for my Colt 45acp. Probably way more Info than I needed but a great find none the less. Great pics and technical drawings! Also contains info on the various sights available as well as mods that can be carried out by a professional gunsmith. If you are into the 1911 model 45.... this is for you!

This book, by far, is the best shop manual that I have ever used. Everyone and anyone who owns a Colt .45 should have this manual whether you want to work on your own gun or not. The first part of the book discusses a step by step disassembly and reassembly of the gun that anyone can understand and follow. The photos are superb. It includes info for early models all the way through the series 70, 80, Commanders and Gold Cups. The last half of the book covers every and any type of modification and general gun smithing work that you can perform on this gun. In my opinion, if you own a Colt 45 automatic, you should have this book to give yourself a complete understanding of the Colt you own. You will not be disappointed.

This is definitely a 5 star product in its comprehensiveness. I gave it four stars because it is available new and elsewhere and for less money. I ordered it from Amazon because I buy so much from A that it is the first place I look for something. OK- My used version was shipped in a timely way. It is in very good condition. All pages present, no torn pages. The book's binding is fully intact, no notes or highlights were on any pages. Glad to have this book as it is considered the 'bible' on 1911 45 ACP pistols. Very comprehensive and a lay person like myself can understand its writings. I am sure I will get my money's worth from it over time.
