Solid and good-looking stand
This stand is exactly what I was looking for. It is very solid (I'll never need to buy another razor stand), looks good, and its functionality is great. It is so much nicer to look at than the other options available.Previous reviewers commented on some sharp edges. The stand I received (May, 2019) has none of that - all edges are nicely rounded. This is one of my favorite recent purchases. It's so nice to buy something that works in exactly the way it should, looks great, and that was clearly made by people who really care about their product.

cooler than that antique-awkward-tiny-coat-rack-looking-thing
this stand is excellent. it is true brushed stainless steel, so it has plenty of heft. the manufacturer was very thoughtful to include tiny little rubber dots on the bottom at each corner, so the stand does not slide around or scratch the surface that it sits on.the razor slot is large enough to allow a merkur futur handle to pass through, but it should be noted that this stand is a bit taller than that particular razor, so the razor handle does not reach the bottom ledge of the stand, and instead just hangs by the head of the razor with the head flat against the top of the stand. the brush holder is JUST large enough to accept a standard proraso boar brush; it takes a little bit of fiddling to get it hanging in there without any stray hairs caught between the sides of the holder and the brush handle.it should be noted that, while this stand is beautiful and makes my bathroom sink look like one of the cool kids at school, it is a piece of sheet metal that has been cut and precisely formed; every edge is sharp, especially the inside edges of the holder holes at the top. if you try to force your brush into the holder at the wrong angle with any force at all, it will easily shave the outer hairs of the brush right off, almost easier than your razor will shave your face. seriously, if that hole on top was just ONE millimeter larger, it would accept the proraso brush cleanly and easily.my personal preference is to have my razor secured by the handle, with the head free and not touching anything... like the BBNY Shaving Safety Razor Stand (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TTB5ZM4?colid=2I85JIKSQIYXO&coliid=IC6NGTAI5EQ99&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl) so while i will continue to use this stand for my brush, i will likely stop using it to hold my razor.

Does not fit my shaving brush
The stant does not fit my shaving brush, and the brush is not abnormally large at all.

This is a Very Nice stand! You can't really see the quality from the picture, but it is real nice. I am a machinist by trade, so I know quality work when I see it. It also has small rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from sliding. I really only purchased this because of the size of the brush opening and that it holds my razor also. So it was a surprise to see the quality of this stand and it is made in America!

Quality stand
This is a solid stand and definitely have some heft to it. It won’t easily tip over unlike other stand you find on Amazon. The opening for the brush easily accommodated a 24 mm brush. Looks great and will definitely last for years to come. You do get what you pay. This is a great investment.

Basic design holds my shaver and brush quite nicely. The holes on the base and back appear to accommodate a suction cup. The foot has four rubber feet to prevent scratches to the counter top. Smallest of wishes is a super small bowl or saucer to catch drips from the brush as it dries.

I really like this, although I had to dremel the brush hole to better fit and to round the edge off so as to not slice the bristles on my brush. Although I don't much like having to hang the brush by the bristles, this is much too narrow to slide the handle into.
