I’ve been using this mascara for about a month now and not only did I have to come write a review but I’m willing to post a creepy close up of my eye on the internet because this mascara is literally the best ever.I’ll start by saying I’ve struggled with lashes all my life. I feel like my lashes need the umph of mascara but I have very flat, spaced-out lashes so mascara often just winds up accentuating the things I dislike about my lashes in the first place. I spent years getting lash extensions because of this, and was left with even flatter, thinner lashes as a result.I’ve tried to figure out what it is that makes this mascara so different from any mascara I’ve ever used and I think it’s a few things:1. The price point!!! For $5? Give it a try. I’d pay top dollar for this.2. The color is fab. I’ve always been more of a brown eye make up girl and it’s tough to find a good brown mascara. This one looks very natural but isn’t too light. I have to imagine the black would be just as great if that’s the color you prefer.3. The “pliability”? This mascara holds shape without looking clunky. If you have flat lashes or lashes that grow in a weird direction, you can literally mold them into place with this brush and they will stay put all day. It’s mind boggling.4. The fluffiness. This is the ONLY mascara I’ve ever used that gives my lashes the same volume effect as lash extensions without looking like spider legs. It fills in gaps, lengthens, and darkens WITHOUT looking heavy and clumpy. I’ve never been able to wear mascara without other eye makeup to balance it and this has been a game changer.5. The wearability. Everyone hates mascaras that flake, smear, etc. None of the above happen with this formula. Not only that, but if you get a little on your skin while applying, it comes right off - and it’s super easy to wash off at the end of the day.I don’t know what they put in this to make it so perfect but BUY IT NOW. I can confidently say I’ll never use another mascara again!

Amazing mascara and inexpensive. Always have a back up. Gives fullness and length to lashes

Finally an applicator that is not able to load up mascara itself too heavily. No thick bristles, no long bristles that bend easily as the goopy product clogs the bristles. No smearing, no flaking, no itching. Washes off easily too.Yet does not run if my eyes are tearing a bit.

I’ve always worn black mascara and thought there was no point to using brown, but recently I realized I might like a softer color that still gave my eyes definition and helped me look awake and put together. So I decided to try brown mascara for the first time ever. I picked this one after reading lots of reviews.I was so pleased when I put it on. It is so pretty and much more natural looking than the black mascara I’ve always worn. It’s really perfect when you are going for a more natural look but still want the definition.I was hoping for a tubing mascara that doesn’t come off until you wash it off, like my favorite Thrive brand mascara. This one flakes off faster and you might want to reapply later in the day. But for the price and for how very pretty it looks, it’s totally worth it.

the mascara itself is good. the applicator wand however is awful. its super thin & flimsy. so flimsy that i am concerned the wand tip will just break off! i have used other essence mascaras and the wands are either good or not, this one is a not!

The color looks light at first but it dries darker. Smooth application, no clumps, lasts all day. I’ve been reordering this for months.

It arrived super-quick, I've tried it and just ordered another! I can't believe a five-buck mascara would be better than all the expensive ones I've tried. From cheapity-cheap to Chanel, I've been using mascara for 50+ years--and this is the real deal. I'm blonde, so ordered the brown. It's perfect--makes my short, sparse lashes look long and lush. And it stays on all day. I live in South Carolina, and in the summer makeup just melts off your face. This mascara didn't budge--no smearing, flaking, no raccoon eyes even on a seven-mile run at 91 degrees and 75 percent humidity. Will never be without it.

Love how long it makes my eyelashes! Goes on smooth. Doesn’t clump until the end of the mascaras shelf life. Overall a great value and I actually had someone ask if those were my natural lashes.
