Lovely glasses that look classy and feel good to hold. They were well received as a birthday gift.

I've been a fan of anything Dartington for a lot of years now. I love the simple classic lines their products have and these glasses are no different. Even if they do arrive in a fairly utilitarian package, this in no way diminishes the beauty of the glasses. The glasses are very round and bowl-like in shape and almost look like a brandy bowl without the stem. Being stemless makes them easy to store and as they are dishwasher safe, that is an extra bonus to me.The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not five is because they can be a little hard to hold and to drink from. As the bowls are quite big, you need to have a good grip to hold them properly. It's fine if you have mid to large size hands, but small ones can struggle. I also find that because the bowl is large in comparison to the opening at the top of the glass, you do have to tip them right back to get the last of your drink out. These are quite small niggles though and most people will find them perfectly acceptable.Overall, I think they're a lovely looking glass, which really sparkles when polished up with a soft cloth and I'm looking forward to adding something special to my everyday dinner settings.

This item was supplied to me free of charge through Amazon’s Vine programme, however this in no way influences my review, which is intended to be both impartial and informative for potential purchasers.Although described as gin glasses, these are simply large bowled stemless glasses that would work well for any mixer drink (or even a very large glass of wine given that they could hold over half a bottle if you choose!). At 440ml (although the usable liquid capacity is somewhat less than this) there is plenty of room for a double gin, tonic and plenty of ice.Being stemless, they have the advantage of being much less likely to be knocked over on the table, the downside being that there is no stem to hold meaning that they are slightly harder to grip and you can't nurse your drink without it warming up in your hands.They have a very elegant appearance, and are delicate without feeling too flimsy, although I feel that it wouldn't take too hard a bang to break them.Being lead free crystal you could, if you wish, place them in the dishwasher without them becoming opaque quite as quickly, however as with any quality item they will retain their appearance much longer if hand washed.Well worth considering if you want your mixer drink served in something a little more elegant than a tumbler.

As a gin lover, I really appreciate a nice large well made Gin glass. You get 4 of these in a pack, the glasses are plain, round and made of crystal. They are simple and elegant, and although these are labelled as gin glasses, you could pretty much use them for anything. I do think you need decent size glasses for your Gin and Tonic, especially once you add the ice cubes and any other decorations and flavouring. I prefer them being stemless because I find it reduces the chances of breakage and the design is more sturdy.The glass is easy to hold and is well made, a great addition to my drinks cabinet.
