Feral cat loves this cat house!
I purchased this New Age cat house over a year ago and our feral cat would not go in it. Originally, I had it located close to the feeding station on our deck. So,I decided to move it further away from the feeding station closer to the house still on the deck. Still, our feral cat would not go inside, but would sit on top of it. Finally, I moved it to a location off the deck on the side of the house next to a spot where she liked to take naps. I kept the plastic door covers on the cat house because I didn’t want the rain to get in it. After a year of our feral cat, not using this cat house, I purchased a larger cat house that she went inside immediately. She would often times sit underneath the larger cat house so she had a good view and could stay dry when it rained. She used the larger cat house without a plastic door on it for about two months during the winter with the rain and snow and then suddenly something happened; it got really wet inside from all the rain and snow and mud. I had placed a small cat bed inside the larger cat house, which got really wet. I probably should’ve used the straw instead. In any case she stopped using the larger cat house and rediscovered the smaller New Age cat house. She has been using the New Age cat house for the last month every night and loves it. So the plastic doors were not an issue. She figured out how to use them. I have a self warming mat on the bottom and then straw over top. Finally, success! Great cat house, easy to assemble. My feral cat loves this house!

Outdoor Stray Loves It!
It is fairly sturdy and easy to put together. I think it took me about 45 minutes. Could have been less if my other cat did not try to help with the process. But its easy and you don't need tools - everything is provided and directions are clear.Downside, the trim around the front door opening is a bit flimsy and it fell off when the cat bolted out one day and keeps falling off now. I'm just going to glue it down. It's fine and not a bit deal.Important part is that the outside stray kitty loves it. Took him a day or so to get used to the idea of being a home owner, but now he comes and goes strait in for a long rest. I got a kitty bed in there for him and he's happy. Plus, two exists is nice - he uses one as window to see when I'm coming out with his dinner. On sunny warm days, he uses to roof to chill.I live in a cool rainy area and and so far this house has been keeping up nicely with the weather.

Nice!
This pet house was fairly easy to put together. It seems to be sturdy but not entirely waterproof. I placed a trash bag over the roof and weighted it down to provide better waterproofing. Spacious, two doors. Straw and a warming pad, and the wild cats seem very happy!

A Perfect Cat House... for my Neighbor’s Dog :-(
This cat house is fantastic! It was easy to assemble, with all the parts included and clear instructions. It holds up well in the rain and even in Alabama’s occasional snowy and icy weather. I was such a proud momma when I set it up outside for my kitty. But, of course, my 17-year-old black tuxedo cat, Cole, had other ideas and refused to go inside. So, I gave it to my next-door neighbor, whose medium-sized dog loves squeezing into it. A few days later, I looked out my window and saw my cat, Cole, sleeping on top of the former cat house—the very one he wanted nothing to do with. SMH. Cats never fail to surprise me.

Excellent little cat house , Took a while but ferals finally got in it.
love material, the top doesn't open up without taking the screws out and then having to line it back up over again to clean it out. Minor pain for the rest being good.Updated 1/2025 I have 4 of these ,a large dog house and 3 pet barns for a small cat colony I care for. These are my favorite little houses and most of the cats like them.I insulate them with Reflectix bubble insulation, cut the flaps into strips and make a flap over the doorways from cheap dollar tree placemats.Update, taking the top off is not a big deal at all especially if you leave the top screws a little bit loose, it's only 4 of them and they are easy to even hand screw out because they are large and plastic. These have held up great, even with a lot of rainy weather, Standing on their own. The cats all like them and the flaps over the doors work great to keep things out period works best if you can put it up against a wall to help shelter from blowing wind.I put a heated cat Mat inside of them in the winter and they stay almost all the way dry unless there's a super windy day with rain and even then it's only a little bit that gets in.I read others reviews With suggestions of leaving the flaps off until the cat start going inside and then put the flaps on after there already going in and out and that was great advice.Found the great advice of getting cheap place mats from the dollar store, folding them upright and duct taping over the top of the openings to create a flap or awning /visor to help keep rain out. They are thin, Durable but thin, so if you live anywhere that has cold winters you would have to insulate it with something. I got reflectix and simply taped it in place. One of them I lined with a cut up exercise floor mat. If the temperatures go below 25° overnight, Even with the heated Mat inside ,it is still chilly inside so I will fold up yoga mats and extra blankets to drape over them to help protect from frost.I have them up on my deck, I had them in the grass under a tree in the summer but I will never do that again because the mud splashed up from the yard all over them and was very messy. They also have Legs and space in the walls that spiders and bugs love to get up in, So I will only be keeping them in places treated for bugs and on blocks/ bricks if on ground.I hope this may help someone if looking for information.
