BGS 65590 | Oxygen Sensor Thread Repair Tool | M18 x 1.5 mm

I used this to rethread the precat oxygen sensor hole on my 2015 Ford Focus. It was quick, easy and worked like a charm.

After trying to replace my 02 sensor the originsl was cross threaded so the new one wouldnt screw in.Tried all day. No luck.Saturday at 11pm I looked on Amazon and found this, requested a next day delivery on a Sunday.It was delivered at 3pm on Sunday by a very friendly driver.Car was fixed by 4pm.Thankyou Amazon.The tool itself, I lined it up with the hole and using a ratchet turned it mm by mm. Took it really slow and tighted a few mm then loosened a few mm and so on. Forward back etc until it was all in. Using lots of wd40 to keep it lubricated. Used half a can.This saved me being off the road. So happy right nown☆☆☆☆☆

Did the job on a very mangled thread. The 02 sensor in the picture is the one that came out leaving lots of metal deposits and damage. Just be careful and use like any other tap - make sure you start it straight and back of regularly to remove swarf.

Works as described good to have in the tool box for clean up of threads after removal of sensor

Stripped threads on lambda sensor mounting in exhaust system Bought this to see if the thread was saveable. Worked perfectly! Ensure you take your time and keep it greased up. Couple of turns then back off. Repeat until you have cut all the threads. This tool has saved me a fortune. Great quality, great price, what’s not to like?? Recommended 100%

well for my 02 sensor the threads were horribly tore-up, as the 2nd 02 sensor was well & truly stuck in-place... what was required to remove such a blow torch & the cat pipe to end up glowing cherry red, the sensor upon a 2ft power bar then made a move... leaving not much screw thread in-place, hence the purchase of this tool & the correct size tap & die set to rethread teh sensor bung/hole..as a note of caution anyone in a similar position this tool will NOT run through a poor or very badly damaged screw thread, you really do need to tap the threads out using a correct tool, this tool will however happily chase a thread clearing it of any small faults or dirt within the thread pitch

Nowhere near strong enough to rethread a cast manifold. Crumbled on the second turn of the ratchet

I never write a review but after struggling for 2 weeks trying to get my oxygen sensor in with no luck I feel I need to submit a review. I started to panic as I couldn't get the sensor into the exhaust and no garage was willing to touch it. They said the only thing they would do is replace the exhaust which was not an option. This tool saved my ass and can't recommend it enough
