Worked well, until it snapped off
Pros:Cuts cleanHolds edgeCons:Cuts approx 60 linear feet before snapping off.30 day warranty (90 would be nice)I’m no router bit expert, but this is disappointing. I need another to finish my project and my table doesn’t allow me to set the bit further down. I’ll be sure to feed even slower than before, which didn’t seem fast, but obviously was too fast. I’m of half a mind that it’s defective, and half that I must have abused it. Can’t say.

Good quality Round Nose Bit
I ordered the KEENTECH solid carbide ¼ inch round nose bit to use with my Shapeoko Pro CNC machine. To test the router bit out I designed a small catch all tray and used this round nose bit to carve out the pocket of the tray. It worked really well overall and did leave a normal pattern in the pocket due to the step-over option that I chose in the settings. I chose a set-over of just under half the diameter of the bit and this left a slight rounded ridge in the tray which I actually kind of like. The bit performed very well at a fairly aggressive plunge and feed rate but the bit had no problems cutting out the pocket in .08 mm passes to a depth of .40 inches.

Very sharp, produces clean cuts even across the grain of the wood.
Just to test how sharp this bit is, I used it to route across the grain of a small piece of pine by hand. This is clearly not an efficient use of the bit (the 2" variety of this bit is MUCH better suited to a router table), but I wanted to see how it would perform. As you can see from the attached picture, it performed very well! A few specific thoughts:- This bit is very sharp and cut across the grain of the test piece without a single problem. There are two groupings of small/light burn marks and one small piece torn out at the bottom of the cut that are a result of my own hesitation as I routed across the piece of wood, but these were made entirely by human error. It is worth noting that the bit is so sharp that it was able to taper the edge of the wood down to about 1/32" without tearing it to pieces!- The overall quality of the bit is excellent. I own several Keentech bits and they all perform flawlessly, but this may be my new favorite!- The price of this bit is consistently lower than comparable bits of lesser quality, so it wins on price/value alone in every case that I have seen!- My only "negative" comment (if you can call it that) is that the 2" version of this bit is so heavy that mine came loose from the base and bounced around during shipping (causing the scratches and cracks that can be seen in one of the attached photos). It may be worth keeping that in mind if you are planning to gift one of these, but speaking as someone who appreciates a great router bit, I wouldn't care if I received it as a gift and the packaging was a bit scratched up!

It is great for larger trays or shallow bowls.
I was happy to find that I got a nice clean rounded edge to the tray I was making for a friend. I routed out most of a glue up of cherry and maple using a spiral upcut bit. for the edges I set up stop blocks on my router fence, and used this big bit in my table. I was concerned because it was my first time with such a big bit but it went smoothly. I used stop blocks to ensure I kept the shape of the sides. It turned out great with no end grain tear out like I would have gotten with a lesser bit. Very happy with this and I look forward to using it a lot more.

All you can do to PUSH the wood through! Not sharp. Totally useless!! Not even a 1 star for review
