Cool Maker – Sew N’ Style Room Décor Project Kit

My daughter has had the Cool Maker sewing machine for several months and enjoys creating the various crafts on a relatively easy to use machine without all the hassle of a real sewing machine. She can learn the basic principles of sewing if not the accurate technicalities. When she first started using it she quickly went through the starter pack and used up all the material available so we have since purchases two more refills. Every time we get a refill pack she goes to work creating new crafts and following the instructions.The directions they give are for the most part understandable and easy for a 10 year-old to follow, but they can in places be confusing and we've needed to help her through some of the steps. She is able to create crafts that she can not only use to decorate her room, but also to carry and store items. The end result is however loosely held together with a sort of meshing of the material and will easily pull apart so the crafts sometimes do not "sew" together fully or fall apart after and need to be resewn.Our biggest complaint is probably that there is not a lot of material included in each package and is used up quickly so purchasing more and more refills can become expensive.

This was fun for our granddaughter but was also a bit cheesy. Wish this company offered a greater variety of projects to choose from, with better utility. The good news is, the patterns are relatively easy for our 6-y/o to follow.
