Can one use a q-tip if the applicator is lost?** A: The 'special applicator' mentioned in this product reminds me of a running joke from the Mass Effect computer game series -- the Quarians (alien race) call a particular item an Emergency Induction Port. The applicator in this is just a slightly oversized Q-tip, so a Q-tip should work just fine. **Q: Does this work for gums?** A: You should not use this on your gums! It is fantastic at stopping bleeding eeternally! **Q: Is it ok to store this in a hot environment ( like a car first aid kit)?** A: I know it’s stable for a long time.
