Physical therapy and other rehabilitation exercises were not helping and seemed to be making my problem worse. This tool is exactly what I needed. This item is great because of its portability. I thought I would have to invest in some kind of mini curl bench to get the kind of workout I needed. I also didn't like to bother my husband with holding my ankles while I did some reps. I love that this slides underneath a door and the strength of the door is what holds my weight. I didn't find the anchor at all uncomfortable and held my ankles in place rather well. Even with padded carpeting however, I did see the need to place a pillow under my knees. My thought is that as I get stronger, I won't need the pillow. The adjustable strap is easy to lengthen or shorten the space of the anchor to the ankles. I thought maybe the strap would loosen as I did my reps, but it didn't - it held fast. I have white doors so my only worry was that perhaps it would leave some kind of scuff mark on the paint. There was none and there was no scratching on the bottom of the door either - excellent! The setup is also quick as the product says - maybe more than 5 seconds the first couple of times until I got used to how to hook the tool and adjust to my ankle. But once that gets figured out it is so easy to setup. I'm so glad that I came across this gadget for a quick, effective, and inexpensive method of working out my hammies. I feel the difference already and even in my hip flexors, I feel more strength and less tightness. I wish I had this 7 months ago when my posterior and anterior chain were messed up.
