Amazing
I’ve never heard of this stuff before and it was amazing! It grows to several times it’s size and is so much easier to store than massive bags of dirt. I’ve planted seeds and also plants in it and everything has thrived. It drains well, just make sure to water often. I’d definitely buy again. You get six bricks. You soak them in water and they expand. It was actually pretty cool to see! I planted 5 areas with less than two bricks (2 pots and 3 holes in the landscape). The value for what you get is also great. One box with go a long way.

Great for Growing Veggies! 🌱
I recently used the Gro-Med Organic Coco Coir Block to grow tomato plants, and I’m quite impressed! Here’s why:Easy to Use: Unlike large bags of soil, this compressed brick is convenient to store and use. No more lugging around heavy bags!High Expansion: When hydrated, the coir expands significantly, providing ample volume for my plants. It’s like magic watching it grow!Enriched with Plant Food: The coir block contains essential nutrients, which is a bonus for healthy plant growth.Low EC and pH Balance: Gro-Med ensures that their coir maintains the right balance for optimal plant health.Overall, I highly recommend the Gro-Med Organic Coco Coir Block for anyone looking to grow veggies, herbs, or flowers. It’s a sustainable choice, and my tomato plants are thriving! 🍅🌿

Great.
Works as should. I ended up needing 2.5 quarts of water per brick to make it workable for me. I needed to repot some indoor plants but dreaded it because everytime buy ready-to-use bags I get so many knats that come with soil. This stuff seemed way cleaner and really easy to work with. I also like that I can store whatever bricks I don't need for later. I also added mosquito bits to my soil and on top to kill off any bug eggs. Only reason took point off, and probably shouldn't have because on me, is because I found eight bricks for twenty-five while I paid around twenty-two for six. What can I say, I like to bargain shop and kick myself if find something of equal quality for less.

This was a seed starting miracle for me
Tried this for the first time this year on my raised beds and it greatly improved germination and growth. Helped to prevent drying out. I have fewer pests too. Makes an awesome crust layer that seed can penetrate, but retains moisture. Definitely will order again!!

Plants are thriving
The little "brick" when expanded with water fills an 18 qt dish pan about 3/4 full. It is light and fluffy, claims to have plant food already infused in it. It must be as my plants - vegetables, flowers and herbs are doing well with just a little additional potting soil. The color of the coir does vary. The first large cube that I ordered was much lighter in color than the small bricks in my second order. The quality seems identical. I will continue to purchase this brand, very satisfied.

The best! Don’t buy furwey to save money
I’ve always bought GroMed, loved it,swelled up so nicely, then broke apart making a beautiful soil, the one you like to put your hands in and scoop it up to smell it. Maybe I’m a lil weird, but I loved it. Then hubby complained on soil expense. Ha so I tried 8 bricks of Furwey bricks! Lighter in color, dusty,no instructions. But I knew from GroMed. I poured a quart of water in,it didn’t rise hardly, then it became a clumpy mess. I couldn’t even break it up into nice texture. So so upset, when I get back to FL in June. I’ll be ordering something that I know I can depend on every time. GroMed, I’m never leaving you again. My bad. But, I would like eight or 10 packs of bricks. I can’t handle the block I accidentally ordered once. But I certainly used it! 😂😍

Easy to work with
I followed the formula for the soil, adding half compost and half coir thus far the flowers are blooming
