Just what you need to convert a tripod for magsafe!
I really like the quick release of mag safe, and it's a huge upgrade over the snap in phone holders. This is a very simple swap for any standard screw tripod. Just unscrew the old head and screw this one on and you're ready to go. There's several mounting points so you can adjust placement and the magnet itself is strong and heavy and feels very sturdy. If you don't have a mag safe phone (or aren't sure) there are also metal rings included you can stick to a phone case to convert it to work with this.

Ring come off with magnetic mount removal, second ring works on new smooth case
I mounted the small ring tha ly is need for the bracket magnet to work, after wiping the phone back with the wet wipe then the dry wipe. After 24 hrs I tried using this magnetic mount it seemed to be very secure and the bracket seemed well made. When I took the mount off that thin ring you glue to the phpne back came off with it. I am trying to glue the second ring to a smooth back phone case to see if it will stay on if it does not I will be returning this to Amazon. I CHANGED THE RATING TO 3 STARS FROM 1 STAR. THE NEW CASE WAS ABLE TO KEEP THE EXTRA RING GLUED ON AND IT WORKS WELL. I WENT TO 3 STARS BE CAUSE I CAN NOT FIND EXTRA RINGS TO PURCHASE AS BACKUP REPLACEMENTS. If I find replacements I would change to 5.

Good With iPhone
The magnet is a much better holder for iPhone's than those clamp style ones. The magnet is strong and I'm not worried about my heavy phone falling off. Attaches to my tripod perfectly. This is a must have to add to your backpack for traveling!

Works as intended
I am actually using this tripod mount adapter as part of a setup for tenting a split keyboard. The adapter comes with two magnetic stickers, that was a nice extra.The adapter screws onto my Manfrotto Pocket Tripod. The magnetic side holds securely, my keyboard halves never slip while I’m typing. I know my use is unconventional, but if the adapter holds securely while I’m typing, it should hold a phone securely too!
