What is the expiration date on these cherries?

I've purchased the cherries 3 different times and the expiration date was always 11-13 months. I get raves for my cherry cobbler.

Is the syrup heavy or light in sweetness?

Far as sweetness goes; I'd have to ref info I found online = Morello cherries are in the family of sour cherries. Morello cherries are very tart and are far too sour for most to enjoy raw.
