Good guide for those who have experienced kundalini , experiencing it or are interested in the subject. gives examples of people who went through the experience of this next evolution of life, that is, tapping into the vital life force responsible for the breath we take, our heartbeat and every incredible job that goes on inside our body which we have no control of. This same vital life force is responsible for the whole universe. He explains how kundalini can be a biological subject as well as a metaphysical subject, after all these two can't be separated. Also goes into science and religion. My take on this is science does prove a lot of theories but science doesn't know it all, science doesn't have the tools to measure the invisible forces that are responsible for this physical reality, so just because science can't prove it, doesn't mean it's not real. Kundalini is a personal experience which cannot be explained and is different for everyone. Kundalini's outcome and transformation can be expressed into physical forms (kriyas, yoga movement). It is the consciousness that manifests itself into biology. There is a fundamental experience for everyone that awakens their kundalini (either through the golden flower meditation, shaktipat, or by accident), that your outlook on life begins to change, you realize your oneness in the universe and that religious high figure called "God" is actually not a person that can be conceptualized, it's an energy that is present in all forms of life, from the living to the non living. Great book highly recommended

I really enjoyed his description of greater reality as "an energy continuum"
This book offers an unique and important view on kundalini energy/awakening with the view that the process is a biologic/scientific phenomenon, a highly valid perspective, I believe. However, whereas JJ's previous book "Deciphering the Golden Flower One Secret at a Time" (also published under "Diary of a Connecticut Yogi") was more exclusively focused on empirical observation of phenomenon, this book gets more into his personal perspective on some of the more spiritual aspects/questions and his beliefs (or beyond beliefs). I really enjoyed his description of greater reality as "an energy continuum", this matches well with my own experience (if you have to say something). The book is exceptionally well written and thought out, the clear logic it uses is years in the making, pure genius, or perhaps the energy flowing through him. There are a number of first hand accounts from others in the book that illustrate the similarities and differences in phenomenon. I think this book will appeal most to those who come from a scientific background, or that are interested in exploring that view of kundalini.

Connects the dots about kundalini that are missing from other texts
Incredible book! Exactly what I was looking for in terms of how kundalini awakening relates to biology and the DNA. The case studies are fascinating and affirming. I can't recommend this book highly enough. It has been so helpful with my own awakening experience.

A good read in parts but ultimately misleading.
I was hoping for some information on the biological aspects of kundalini but was left wanting. If this is what you're looking for then this book may not be for you.
