This is a device that converts a HDMI signal into a signal usable by iOS/iCloud.I suggest to use the SeeMo Pro, you *will* need a cage to secure and mount the device to your iPhone or iPad. Deploying this much hardware (camera, phone, SeeMo Pro, and NP battery) any other way is a certain path to the distraction and disappointment of parts falling off at the worst possible moment.I already had an NP-970 laying around; but this size is heavy and unwieldy - much like a small brick. Maybe now you’ll begin to understand why a cage is a must.If you’re connecting your iPhone/iPad to the Accsoon SeeMo Pro that is mounted on that cage, this means the included USB-C to USB-C cable will likely be too short. Therefore you will need a replacement USB 4 cable that supports 40 Gbps Data Transfer. Using a “lesser” quality USB cable may not yield adequate results.“Hot-swapping” between different iOS devices running the “See” app performed well.I did run into a couple of “hiccups” with my iPhone 15PM and iOS 17 - like screen freeze-ups being one. But I’m sure Accsoon is working on that. And it would be nice if a more informative user manual was provided to explain the icons on the screen, and such.If all you want is a larger display of your camera’s EVF, then a field monitor may be a simpler solution. But the SeeMo offers a direct stream from your HDMI source into the iPhone/iPad screen and iOS/iCloud ecosystem, and from there, “the world is your oyster.” That alone may be worth the price of “the pearl inside.”
