I bought him because he is not quite as “Caucasian” I wanted darker skin. I am using him for baby Jesus in a manger my husband built. Ohmygoodness! The baby is beautiful! My 9-year-old granddaughter jumped when she saw him because she thought he was real! My pregnant daughter was startled even though she knew I had done this but this baby is just that realistic! I don’t think I would necessarily give him to a child for a baby doll because he doesn’t ever open his eyes. But he is stunning for my use!The details of his hands and feet and the painting of his whole body are nothing less than exquisite! I think he is probably the most well done baby doll I have ever seen. The 18 inch size is perfect for me and I would think that’s part of why he is so realistic.

It arrived a little late but was packaged very well. The baby’s hands, arms, legs and feet came wrapped in tissue paper and a hair net over the hair. The accompanying accessories are very cute and fit the baby perfectly. The quality of this babydoll is fantastic, I’m a little surprised that it was as cheap as it was! I have been looking for a realistic doll for a while and the details truly make this a fantastic product. My only complaint is that the baby is very light and that breaks the realism for me so I’ll be adding some weighted beads.

This doll is prettier in person. It has a good weight to it so more like a real baby. My granddaughter loves it!
