I have a small girl that I like to use and accidentally melted my daughter's plastic picnic table with it. So I bought this mat to put down to hopefully help with that issue so no other tables got ruined. It works fantastically. It fits under my little girl just fine and does everything it says it's going to. Recommended it so much that my father-in-law bought one.I also love that it's lightweight and I can just fold it up when I'm done and toss it on top of my grill.

This is not like any grill mat I’ve ever had. It’s a tarp, basically. Extra thin, compared to any I’ve ever had. It does have eyelets in each corner to secure with pegs or rope, and if you keep this and use it, you will need. Especially if you get any kind of breeze.I’m returning it.

I get this grill mat mainly to protect the floor from grease. I am using an LP tank, not charcoal or wood. There is no concern about hot debris flying out of the grill. So, I won't comment on how its fireproof capability. The mat is indeed grease-proof and it's easy to clean the grease with a quick spay of Lysol or 409. The mat does not feel flimsy with its 0.6mm thickness. I didn't anchor the mat to the floor. The mat stays put under a fairly windy condition. I am sure a big storm will flip the mat. But no one does BBQ while it is storming.

This is absolutely perfect and now covers my patio more than the standard area just below the grill.
