Latch Hooking rugs is a hobby of mine & I bought this kit because I liked the picture. Like that the yarn is soft and beautiful in color. I already finished it and it came out beautiful.

There was nothing I didn't like about it. Help pase the time

This was a great rug. However, I noticed that the pattern on the rug itself was a little off. So, my advice would be, follow the reference sheet's colors.

I have like this rug design for awhile and at Christmas decided to buy and hook for my daughter-in-law present.Beautiful true color of yarn makes the images stand out and take notice from viewers .Only thing I suggest is that the picture with key alpha pertaining to the color chart, to have larger print and more durable . As when folding lose some of the print.

So... This rug is going to be pretty. The yarns are perfect and organized and the tools are perfectly fine. There's a nice wood handled hook and then a tiny plastic hook which both work fine.The rug itself is printed with the pattern and already has a non slip backing and border sewn on. You'd think this would be helpful... Just hook and have it done... BUT.... the edges are sewn crookedly and it's hard to tell what colors are supposed to go where. Comparing the printed grid to the paper pattern is no help unless you start from the middle and work out, since the edge sewing has cut off part of the pattern and no way for you to know exactly how much was cut off. Also the printing is sort of off... So that each square is half one color and half another color... And the colors are so close together in shade that without the help of the paper pattern, you wouldn't necessarily know which of the yarn colors to use.It's going to be pretty when it's done... But it wasn't exactly as easy as I expected. My original thought was 'if a 5 year old can do it... So can I....'The colors are vibrant

Better than I thought, of course it's going to take awhile. It read a rug and surprised it has a sticky back, still easy to put the yarn through. Only downside, it took awhile, it was for Christmas and they did let me know it was going to be late and if I still wanted to still purchase. Great overall experience.

The project included is a cheap knockoff of the pattern pictured on the page. For starters even the version of the pattern included doesn't fit on the mat provided, being two cells too small in every direction. Second, the pattern included is a much lower "resolution" for a lack of better terms than the advertised image. The image on the page appears at least 3x denser than the pattern provided. Third, the yarn colors included do not match the image. The ruddy brown in the image is a dark red in the package, and the midnight blue from the image is ultramarine. The lack of contrast in the yarn colors results in a muddy outcome. Fourth, the stitching on the edge connecting the canvas to the no slip mat is uneven, sloppy, and in an unseemly black thread that stands out against the white boarder. Lastly, the no slip mat the canvas comes attached to is slightly smaller than the canvas itself, meaning that no matter what the rug will never lay flat. Honestly, I assume that Yakoleci lifts the rug designs from artisans and makes cheap knock off patterns. You're better off buying the raw materials from a craft store and actually spending your time making something worthwhile.
