Definitely works! I have an 8 month old kitty that likes to chew through very expensive cords. After replacing hundreds of $$$ in chargers, adapters, headphones, etc…, we ware at our wits' ends. I read all the reviews, and was worried about the cord covers because of the chemical smells they produced. The bitrix that is in this product has been proven safe and effective. After trying it, I can confirm its effectiveness. I have observed her closely, and Kitty has attempted to chew on cords doused with the spray, but has promptly stopped once she has tasted the cords. It has been almost 2 weeks, and I have only sprayed them once. I am not sure when I will need to treat them again, but I'm happy with the longevity of the product's effectiveness thus far. When spraying an object, I recommend that you do so in a well-ventilated area, where there are no fans nor wind. Keep your mouth closed tightly, and don't spray too much at one time. The aerosol lingers, and if you get in your mouth, you will be sorry. It doesn't make you sick, but it is very unpleasant and it takes quite awhile to get rid of the taste. Other than that, I have no complaints. Very happy that our cords and cat are safe again.

This does not work, at all. The smell got in my mouth and stayed for over an hour. Couldn’t get it out. Smells like rubbing alcohol. Absolutely did not work with my cat. Tried it on our Christmas tree and plants and the cat almost went on them more... terrible.

I sprayed it onto the dog's bed, since she likes to chew them up. The most was very fine, and got into my mouth and on my hands. IT TASTES TERRIBLE. HOURS LATER I STILL TASTE IT.The dog still chewed on the bed...

Aside from the bottle leaking in shipping, the product got on my fingers when spraying and deterred ME from eating popcorn! (Yuck). My puppy? Ignored it and kept chewing. It is definitely bitter, but may not work with all dogs. Be careful when spraying ... Inhaling mist when spraying is not pleasant.

Awesome stuff, it stopped my puppy from chewing on the molding around the floor (knawing off our paint and huge chips of wood), our wooden chairs, and anything else we didn't want her destroying. I also recommend telling them 'no, that's not your toy', and then giving them one of they're toys that they're allowed to chew on and say 'chew on your toy' to help redirect that behavior. It's natural for dogs and especially teething puppies to want to chew on things and they need to have something they can chew on, but this spray really helps to let them know what they can't touch. It's really powerful stuff, definitely hold your breath when spraying it (a mask would probably be better) because if you breathe it in while it's airborne it will linger in your mouth and it tastes HORRIBLE!!

Used to keep rabbit from chewing baseboards has a godawful smell maybe it works for some but my rabbit didn't pay it no mind

Didn't work on my big dog.

I used this for my puppy that was teething and biting everything that was in sight! I used this spray and saw results immediately. She had stopped chewing furniture, rugs, plants, shoes, even my other dog. Ha! Very harsh smell but be careful! You can actually taste it which is very bitter, soapy taste to it. Blargh! Otherwise, it worked well for my pooch.
