One Week Use Review from Daily Tatter and Great Dane Owner (this does matters...)
The last of my beloved Starlit shuttles bit the dust and I simply wasn't in the mood to make the 'free shipping' minimum from the shop so I took to 'zon to fill the need. I knew I wanted a post center and a pick tip (not a hook) because I used the Starlit's pick for a picot gauge, unfortunately there were no shuttles comparable to my Starlit's size for my not-dainty hands, but this variety had a reasonable price and fair ratings & reviews. I took the chance and I've been fairly impressed with them so far. quick to wind, adequate thread load, sturdy build, and fast delivery. My Great Dane is a 1.5yo puppy and is still in-training for service dog work, so my tatting supplies have made regular appearances but not sitting left out at the moment. But since these weren't my Starlits, she was immediately introduced to them and she's been learning to pick them up if I drop them or find if I misplace them, etc. They've fared very well in my girl's mouth and from being dropped on tile flooring and concrete floors repeatedly. They tat wonderfully, though, again, not for the not-so small handed amongst us crafters. If y'all got the chunky monkey fingers, like me, you're going to fumble with threading these and your hands take a bit of time to get used to the smaller size if you're used to using a larger size shuttle like Starlit. They do hold less thread, obviously, but enough to do a snowflake in size 20 thread. The beading needle! A lot of folks have had issue with this in the reviews and I have to explain this. We have different varieties of beading needles. These are actually standard seed bead needles (also called "big eye needle"). To find the eye, you used your fingernail or the pick of the shuttle, to separate the pieces of metal wire that are held together at the ends. You can also move the ends towards one another similar to a finger trap puzzle.I've included both a comparison photo of twisted wire beading needles to the seed bead needle and a photo displaying the big eye of the seed bead needle. Also among the photos are a comparison photo of Starlit shuttles to Butuze shuttles with a standard 3x3 sticky note, an in progress shot of one of the purchased shuttles, and an in action photo of the seed bead needle loading beads onto some 勾乐 20 weight thread (marketed as golo on Amazon). In the end, I'm probably going to replace these when they eventually bite dust - with the same product. They're great for making jewelry pieces, but I'm not attempting any of the Renuleks with these just because I hate hiding thread joins and I know there would be many.I hope this was helpful for someone.

good durable shuttles perfect for multi-shuttle projects
I've purchased these shuttles twice now, and I love them. They're nice and strong with good thread capacity. I've got several of them in a project baggie that I've had banging around in my backpack for about 2 years now, and none of them have ever cracked, broken, or gotten deformed at all. having multiple colors is great because it allows me to keep my shuttles straight when I'm working with two shuttles with the same color thread. The pick on the end is very useful for picking out stitches if you find you've made a mistake, and although it doesn't work very well for doing joins, the set comes with a very fine crochet hook that works perfectly for doing just that. I've tried other pricier shuttles, but these continue to be my favorites.

Shuttles are great for size 10 thread
I liked the size of the shuttle, for it works good with size 10 thread and winding more on to the shuttle than the clover shuttles. Which is great for doing Renulek doilies so I won’t have to add thread if I run out like I would with clover shuttles. I have yet to see how well it would be for size 20 thread, but I think the thinner threads would be better with the clovers. The tiny crochet hook is better to use with the thinner threads like 40 and 80. At moment i am working on a size 80 snowflake and the hook is perfect size. Oh! And the pick on the shuttle is much better than clover shuttles, easier to pick out the knots! Bead needle have yet to try but nice to have. Great price for great quality!

Ass expected.
They work well enough. Great to teach a group of tatters.

Great for this beginner!
As a beginning tatter, I first chose a different shuttle (a bobbin shuttle with a hook), but the hook kept slowing me down because it would catch. I really didn’t like the idea of winding a post shuttle, but the smooth, pointy ends of these looked very appealing and the price was right, so I purchased a pack. My tatting improved immediately. I’m faster and my tatting is more uniform. It’s well worth the time spent winding! They also come with a crochet hook, so it’s everything I need.

Good price for a set
These tatting shuttles work fine, and it’s nice to have enough for several projects at once. The crochet hooks are a nice bonus. The shuttles are three inches long, as advertised, which is like the older Boye plastic one that I have (I prefer a shorter shuttle). The transparency makes it easier to see how much thread is left in the shuttle. The package came quickly.

tip is very sharp
My main issue with the off brand shuttles i have tried has been the point was not sharp enough to pick out stitches. These are up to the task! They are a bit larger than the regular clover shuttles but not as large as the moonlit ones from handy hands. work well for a large jewelry piece.

Good selection
A nice selection of shuttles. They are a little larger than ones I’ve used previously but are still easy to use.
