Great product, though dangerous if you're not smart
This does exactly what it says it does and it did a great job sharpening my knife. I watched a bunch of videos online and tried to find something cost-effective that wasn't condemned by those blowhards. This fit the bill. It does what it says, but not perfectly. It may mark up your knife. I don't care about that because it's a knife that I put in my drawer when I'm done. The problem with this tool is that broad knives are too tall to make contact with the face of the rolling sharpener. Problem solved, I cozied a cutting board alongside the knife blade to put the roller higher off the counter. This was with a chef's knife. I have a cleaver to sharpen as well that will need more lift but it'll work. This did a great job along the lines of an inexpensive whetstone. I used both sides 40 or 50 passes on either side of the knife with both sides of the sharpener, then went over it with a honing rod, and got the satisfying slice through a sheet of paper. Everything I know about knife sharpening I learned on youtube, and this didn't do an ideal job, but it's good enough.Bottom Line:If you're shopping for this, you're not a gearhead whetstone snob. This is the tool for you. If you accommodate its shortcomings with some commonsense accommodations, this will definitely meet your neds. Be sure to buy a honing rod if you don't have one, a cheap one will do.

It works well on larger knives
It works very well on larger knives. It was difficult to sharpen smaller knives such as pocket knives.

Works for me!
I used this on a Kitchen Aid 10" knife that had a difficult time slicing through a beef brisket. It now slices through the brisket with hardly any resistance. Took about 5 minutes for each side of the knife. Much easier than using a sharpening stone and trying keeping the angle correct/consistent.

Works great... kind of.
In theory, this sharpener makes a lot of sense and should work perfectly. The first thing I noticed about it was that it's really not made for smaller blades like folding pocket knives or kitchen paring knives. Smaller blades tend to scoot down below the edge of the block because of the way the magnets hold them, and if the blade shape tapers from a flat spine, its almost impossible to maintain the right angle. After 3 uses the magnets slid out from the holes they were in and the thin rubber strip stretched, making it even harder to maintain the angle. I peeled the strip off and glued the magnets back in because there was no glue before, but then after a few more uses, the abrasive "diamond" coating on the disks had worn away significantly, making the sharpening process take much longer. Now, after less than 10 uses, the pads are almost useless for sharpening. Also, beware of the rubber rings that it rolls on, because they left black marks on my countertop that were very difficult to remove. Overall, its a great idea, but after just a few weeks, I've had to buy another sharpener. Disappointing.

Works okay, weak magnet
Works okay if you have a lot of patience. The magnet is pretty weak so there is a bit of slipping. The roller seems to be decent quality.

This thing works
I had my reservations about buying this, but I said what the hell I am tired of sharpening stones. I got this saying put the knife at an angle and started rolling my little life away. It took me about 15 minutes and then my knife was sharp as a razor blade, I saved my hairy ass arms, no meed didn’t get the razor out now . I think later on today, I might save that goofy little hair off the middle of my toes. Hopefully I won’t cut one off. Sit in bed and play piggy went to market if I do happen to cut off my toe because of it, we know this knife will be sharpen up to slay that little piggy, so if you wanna shave your hair, arms and toes with a sharp knife, this is for you. I am pretty sure you can get your knife, sharpen up to get all three little pigs and that goofy little wolf.

Worth it, no question
A couple of comments seen in other reviews about diamond wearing off. I saw a change in appearance on the diamond side but saw zero change in performance when using. So not sure the diamond is wearing off anyways. I sharpened my entire block of knives that were in horrible shape, 6 knives. Took me about an hour but the knives are as good as new, not kidding. Knives are going on 10 years, JA Henkals, so mid/better-quality. I had used a three side stone that I broke a while ago so the knives were dull. I was going to buy a new set during the holidays even but saw tiktoc for the higher priced similar product to this and thought it worth a try for the price (26$?ish).So glad i did, and to be honest, for the time spent and the result I got I wouldn't even be mad if it quits working on the next use since it would have cost me a minimum of 10 bucks a knifes to have them professionally sharpened. Although i suspect my ignored knives will be much easier to maintain now so it life may be extended after all.

Good knife sharpener
I have used a stone for 40 years, this is good for someone who doesn't know the angles. It works well but seems a little odd to me but I will get used to it. My wife loves it.
