Disc Drive For PS5 Digital Edition Consoles (slim)

Not sure why this one is $75 and the other one on Amazon is $125, they have the exact same product number. We're old school when it comes to movies so we're multi-tasking our PS5 for video games and movie nights so a disk drive for our blu ray and DVD collection was a must. Super easy install pop the PS5 Slim (no disk) cover off, line up and install this disk drive, cycle the PS5 power, follow the prompts and it's up and running immediately. I'm so glad I can buy the disk drive separately because I purchased a used PS5 Slim (no disk) for a $260 steal and was able to add this disk drive myself instead of buying a new PS5 Slim Disk Version for $500 + tax.

Arrived on time, in great condition. Easy to install and working well for the past couple months.The drive itself makes a little sound but nothing out of the ordinary for a disc drive.

This easily attaches to the PS5 PRO and at this point works well. I found this to be important since the gaming products are evolving to on-line and stores are virtually non extant. Going to a game provider is no longer a trip to the mall. Most of my game discs are mail ordered and then copied/downloaded into my PS5.

This works great with PS5 pro. I was a little nervous because you have to snap off a part of the chassis to install it, but after I got over my apprehension and just went for it, it installed perfectly. I haven’t had any issued playing my disc-based games (AC Shadows, Split Fiction, Wukong, Lies of P, etc.). This is a must if you have physical PS5 games and want to upgrade to the Pro.

Original view.It was one started due to amazon saying it was the same day but after four days it never arrived. That order was canceled and a new one place and it rove within three and a half hours of the order being replaced, because we have two major hubs in houston. It's just the way it was supposed to be delivered.It works very well. I mainly use it to play. Dvd sets of TV series like Voltron. Defender of the universe from the original nineteen eighty four set. And others have liked even though I don't really play games, oh, for this sense, you can't on PS5 anyway. And installing silly, it says it really doesn't off the internet, anyway. Then cases of certain collectible, once I may, so by the physical.Installation couldn't be any easier just pop-up. Then slide back the lower right cover.Aligned it to hook clips in the right little square spots, and in it, lower the other side down and push down to snap it in, just make sure it lines up with a little oval connector and the pin that goes into the little hole, and it will click right into place.When you push down, just wiggle it a little bit if it doesn't seem to want to click down.Turn on u p s five and just register the drive to your device, and you do not have to be connected to the internet to activate it.

The disc drive addition for my PS5 is pretty awesome. I originally purchased the disc free digital PS5, but my mom and my sister each got me games I asked for for my birthday in April, and they were physical copies. So I had to get the disc drive add on. I was planning on getting it anyways since I love to watch dvd's. It was actually very easy to install. I installed it myself. The only negative comment I have about the PS5 disc drive is that it can't play music cd's, and I love to listen to music and have a lot of cd's. Other than that it's great to have. It's very handy to have, and it's very quiet as far as noise level goes. The only time it really makes noise is if you're ejecting or inserting a disc. When playing however, it's extremely quiet. Had to take a star away for not being able to play music cd's. Other than that, it's perfect.

It was not difficult to attach and has worked well!

Love the idea, that whenever disc drive dies, or becomes unusable, it can easily be replaced. :)
