I loved how easy this made opening a bottle of champagne!

I bought this for my wife after she lost a plastic champagne bottle opener. Yes, you can use a pair of pliers instead, but this is a really classy looking device.

I have not had an opportunity to open a bottle of champagne yet, so these are just my impressions on receiving the Champagne Opener.It seems well made, and it's quite attractive. With advancing age and arthritic hands I've been having more trouble opening champagne bottles, and I think this will be a good solution. Certainly less embarrassing than asking my daughter for help, and more appropriate for a nice wine than using channel lock pliers!One very small quibble that does not affect the opener at all, I don't think shrink wrapping it is really necessary. It arrives in foam box insert anyway, and the very tough plastic shrink wrap within that was actually somewhat difficult to remove. But as I said, that's pretty minor.More soon, when I've actually opened a bottle with it.Update: I used the opener last night to open a bottle of sparkling wine from Scharffenberger Cellars in Mendocino County, CA. It worked very well indeed. I did remove the foil and wire "muzzle" out of habit before I remembered that the instructions say you don't have to. I'll try it that way next time.

I love prosecco and sometimes struggle opening the bottles when I cannot get a good grip with the towel over the top method. This utensil alleviates that issue. This is easier to squeeze over the cork and just wiggle it out. It is a heavy utensil and feels like a quality piece that will last many many years!

Wow! This is an extremely nice quality champagne bottle opener. As soon as you hold it, you can feel the nice weight and quality. This will definitely last a long time.After having several stuck corks (also a couple that hit the ceiling eek), I went in search of some kind of opener that would make opening champagne a little easier. This is definitely the opener that will help!Is not only helpful, but also beautiful, will look nice out on display with other bar tools.Be sure to save the box before you first use it, as the directions are printed on the back of the box. It is fairly straightforward and easy to use. Love it!

This tool makes opening champagne very easy. It doesn't do anything special, but it grips the cork and the handles give you leverage to grip the cork tightly. Turning the champagne bottle is easy and the cork easily pops up. I used to grip the cork with a towel and then turn the bottle. I struggled with that method for years. The gripping power on the cork that this tool gives you is the key. Highly recommended.

Once you know how to use it this makes opening the champagne so much easier. No more corks flying across the room and far more control over the speed it comes out. This is a stocking stuffer but I took it out of the package and used it first. I wanted to make sure it worked before gifting it. It fits in your hand well and is easy to control. Great addition to a bar set up and now I want one for myself.
