Ready Spiced Chai Tea Bags range widely in quality and price so decided to experiment with my own. I ordered 2 types of chai spice but this was far superior to the other more expensive one. Very spicy and peppery, obviously depending on the quantity used, but with a warmth and all round flavour. Hits the spot for me and far more economical than the ready spiced bags.

I cannot get this anywhere locally so thrilled that I could get it on amazon. This is a spice blend that I grew up with. It would be boiled with very milky, strong sweet tea. I no longer drink tea this way but longed for the flavour of the spices. Now I add a pinch of this in with my rooibosh green tea and it is an ideal and scrummy hot drink. I do not like regular green tea as it is a bit bitter. After much experimenting with hot drinks I found the perfect cuppa!

Nice but small pack and we get through a lot!
It’s good, nice spice mix. We did find one that’s a bit better value though.

Authentic chai
This masala chai tastes really authentic! I was craving chai since my recent trip to India and this tastes exactly the same- better than some I had tasted out there! I make mine with oat milk, black tea and sweeten with maple syrup. If I’m feeling flash then i put a chunk of coconut cream in there... delish!!
