There is nothing worse than having to carry your coat because you have no room in your bag. This will handle a waterproof but nothing heavy and/or woolen.The strap can be adjusted so it holds the coat tight. I have mine clipped to the top handle of my rucksack and it's very comfortable to carry. When travelling, I clip it to my suitcase and enjoy being hands free. I bought these straps specifically for my flight cushion to easily attach and detach from my flight bag and handbag. The strap did a great job and I can see many more uses. My only grip is that the stitching has already started to come undone at the ring, which is very disappointing, for that reason alone I have given it 3 stars otherwise it would be 5 stars.
