Bought this remote to replace the one that comes stock with my google TV after a roommate broke it. There have been a few mishaps as far as getting the buttons to respond to the TV initially, but after a tiny bit of finagling I believe it may have been due to the batteries I was using! The plastic feels different from the original remote, not as matte but more rigid, which ultimately isn't the end of the world to me. No notable size differences or response time when pressing buttons. Overall a great purchase!

Edit : these remotes are not authentic from Google.After mine died, I opened it up and compared the circuit board to my original remote which came with my chromecast, direct from Google. Completely different circuit board, and the main IC (chip) in this remote has had the part number removed with a laser engraver. Typical sketchy clone device. The circuit is completely different topology from the original, this knock off uses a single universal remote IC (my guess), where as the Google remote uses a more discrete topology with different chips for the IR and the Bluetooth, etc.Mine stopped working within 3 months of normal use. Tried new batteries of course, tried “forgetting the device and re-pairing” in the chromecast settings. Can’t get any functionality out of the remote anymore.

Ease to set up. Good replacement after my dog chewed up my last one. Not expensive. Really durable and connected easily.

The new controller I got really did assist me in establishing a connection with my GCCTV. However, I later discovered that the problem I was experiencing with my old remote was actually something very simple that I could have easily fixed. This meant that I didn't even need to purchase this new remote after all. But I guess that is just part of life; you learn from your experiences, and sometimes you make mistakes along the way.Now, while the remote functions perfectly well overall, I have noticed a strange little quirk. For some reason, I find that I need to press the UP button a little harder than I expect for it to register that I am trying to use it. It’s quite odd since I have not even had this remote for a full month yet, and already that UP button seems to be acting up a bit. I really don’t understand why this is happening, but it is a little frustrating.On the bright side, all the other functions of the remote work just as they are supposed to. I have the 4K version of the GCCTV, and I was able to connect it without running into any issues at all. Overall, I feel that this remote is definitely a worthwhile investment, especially if you are in need of a replacement for your old one.

Only problem I had was the directions are so tiny that I had to take a photo of them and enlarge it on my phone to read how to program it.

I was so excited to have a remote for one of my Chromecasts to replace the one that my dog chewed up.It paired up with it very easily and I thought this was going to be the best $11.65 that I'd spent. This looks exactly like the original remote, feels just like it, reacts to input just like it, however the voice command doesn't hardly work at all. When I press the voice command button, it brings up the voice search on the screen just like the OEM remote but it has no clue what I'm saying rendering the voice search feature completely useless. I guess this is one of those examples where you get what you pay for...this is a great value and maybe I just got one with a faulty microphone but it certainly doesn't work like my OEM remotes.It is probably worth the $11.65 I spent so that I don't have to try and connect my phone to the Chromecast and use the clunky on-screen controls however I just wish I'd spent a little more for an OEM one that has a reliable voice control feature.
