I got these to put dried flowers/plants into for wall decor. At least for the time being, I'm not using them to propagate, because I'm only just at the point where I can keep a few house plants alive--I don't think my thumbs are green enough to make new plants yet. I also didn't want to have water hanging against my wall like that. So, I can't speak to how well they work for propagating, but for a decor item, they are very nice. Not the absolute sturdiest but seem to be holding up well so far. Honestly, I think you could do a lot of different things with these...anything that could fit in a test tube would work for decoration.
