Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro: A 3D Printing Powerhouse
I was initially sceptical of the claims when I first heard about the Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro.However, after using it for several months, I’m completely sold. This 3D printer is a game-changer, offering a level of speed, precision, and ease of use that I haven’t seen before.Print Quality:The print quality is simply stunning. The Adventurer 5M Pro produces highly detailed prints with smooth surfaces and sharp edges. I've been particularly impressed with the ability to print intricate details, such as fine textures and small features. The printer handles a variety of filament types with ease, from PLA to ABS but so far I have had the best results with PETG which has given me the cleanest prints which are strong and have had very little stringing.Print Speed:This printer is incredibly fast. It can print large models in a fraction of the time it takes on my older 3D printers and better still there is no compromise on quality, either. The prints are still accurate and detailed, even at the highest speeds. I have made some alignment tools and they are so accurate I am using them to align my laser and get brilliant results.Ease of Use:The Adventurer 5M Pro is incredibly user-friendly. The intuitive touchscreen interface makes it easy to set up and operate. The automated calibration system is a lifesaver, ensuring accurate prints every time.Build Quality:The build quality is excellent. The printer is sturdy and well-constructed, and it feels like it will last for years to come. I have not had to use any glue on the build plate and my prints don't lift and I have not had an issue with adhesion.I can print without supports on prints that just wouldn't work on my other printers and some of the overhangs I have printed without supports have left me speechless. There is an issue in that the top door is a little bit scratched from the energy chain at the top but its the only fault in an otherwise perfect build.I love the fact that cleaning out the inside is so simple because the internal base is completely flat so I can just brush out any filament without it getting caught on things. The doors are plastic and not glass but at this price, I couldn't expect glass. The machine is quite and the software is easy to use.Overall:If you're looking for a 3D printer that can handle a wide range of projects, from small prototypes to large-scale models, the Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro is an excellent choice. With a nozzle upgrade, I will be able to print with Carbon Fibre and because it's fast, accurate, and easy to use I will be using it for a long time to come. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to take their 3D printing to the next level.

A really great update for 2024 - Very fast and High Quality Prints
I cannot attempt to do justice to the Flashforge 5M Pro here and would suggest anyone curious to go take a look at online videos of the machine. It is, in short, a perfect practical build sized 3D printer using the latest CoreXY design. This makes for a printer that can reliably print at 300mm/s (typical cartesian 3D printers do so at under 50mm/s) at an outstanding quality. Prints at 0.2mm layer height look almost as if out of a injection mould. Drop to 0.16 and its even better still (although taking longer of course). The boasts of 15 minute Benchy prints are not at all unrealistic.Physical size is only a little bit up from the older Flashforge Adventurer 3 printer (that this replaced). It sits on the same desk as the AD3 did without encroaching noticeably on the desk area. In operation is is very quiet compared to a lot of other 3D printers. The noisiest element are the fans - these move the air quickly and so will make a noise, but it is not intrusive.Dimensional accuracy of the 5M Pro is astonishingly good. Not only the overall body of the print, but holes for mounts are the correct size and are located perfectly (obviously depending on your own CAD skills). Much of my 3D design is functional parts for other "things" and so the dimensional accuracy is critical. This printer doesn't miss a beat.I typically use Flashprint with the 5M Pro simply because the need has not yet arisen to use the other suggested Orca Slicer (which I am familiar with for my other machines). I have set up all the profiles in Orca and tested them. But came right back to Flashprint for its crazy simplicity and connectivity with the 5M Pro over my WiFi network to send files and control the printer remotely.Price fit my budget nicely. This is an inexpensive machine that punches way, way above its price!

fail to assemble it following the instruction
There are only very few steps to assembling this unit, which was one of the reeasons why I went for the 5M. Unfortunately, one of these steps seems impossible to do.There is a ribbon cable, which is meant to be inserted into a connector on the monitor, and it seems like the cable might actually be too wide for the slot? I really wouldn't call myself an electronics experts, but am usually reasonably confident whith these kind of assemblies, and this is not my first 3D printer.Looking at the images in the manual, it does seem like maybe there was a design modification at some point, as the way the cable comes out of the printer is different from the illustration.I am now at the point of giving up on this. I have emailed support at Flashforge for help with this, and I will update this review, if they get back to me with useful instructions on how to fix this. Otherwise, I will sadly have to return this unit.UPDATE on this: Both the seller and Flashforge responded to my request quickly. They both sent a link to the same video showing the installation. However, the connector in the video is different from the one on the unit I received. As this did not fix my problem, and because the whole process of having to install the monitor cable in a very user-unfriendly way was really offputting, I have decided to return the printer for a full refund. This might all have been down to bad luck, and to a faulty connector on my unit. The design of this element really did not fill me with confidence though.
