Westinghouse WGen5300DF Dual Fuel Home Backup Portable Generator, 6600 Watts, Remote Electric Start with Auto Choke, Transfer Switch Ready, RV Ready

We have only tested it briefly. It arrived in great condition. We are excited to have it prior to hurricane season and the portability will make it so much more convenient for travel with our RV. Dual fuel is a bonus. My husband loves the remote start.

The generator was easy to set up, and started with no issues. I have run it through the 5 hour break-in period, but have not used it for real applications yet. It did not include a wheel kit, but that was easy to order and installation was very simple. It arrived with minor damage to the box, but nothing marks or dings on the generator itself. I look forward to using it with the automatic transfer switch in order to provide extra safety for freezers full of meat.

Generator works well for most things. Purchased to help charge an Electric Dirtbike while at the track. It is rated for 5300watts however I could only get mine to charge my bike at 2300 watts. Not sure what the issue is there but overall a decent generator. Started right up with the electric start. Doesn’t come with wheel kit but I ordered it separate for ease of moving it around. It is quite heavy if you are wanting to put it in and out of a truck bed. You definitely need two people. Overall I would recommend it. Maybe my use case was a little different than others as for charging the E-Bike but for other things it may work even better.

I'm building a house in on extremely remote island. The build is very demanding and when a tool breaks it's 30 days before a new one arrives. So far I have broken or has quit working: 2 generators (different brands), 2 jack hammers, a grinder, a impact drill, water pump, 8 pairs of work gloves, 3 tape measures, chainsaw, weed wacker, 2 tool belts and 2 pairs work boots. Yet the one item that keeps going and going is this generator. Dispite being subjected to sun, salt, concrete spakel, iffy gas, paint spray and my clumsy self. I am so impressed, I took the time to write this review, which I normally don't give two flips about doing unless it's a one star review because I'm pissed off. Good job Westinghouse.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Very well made generator' auto start is great and it's pretty quiet for this size generator

It was for the apartment but now need it for the RV. This is the reason we bought it, for emergencies. Flexible usage, good price, plenty of power but not too noisy.

Received the gernerator on Jan 27th. Just got around to checking it out the first of May. Will start when the chord is pulled but the electric start does not work. Just makes a buzzing sound. After working with customer suport, it was determined that the battery was bad. BUT the battery is NOT under warranty. What a great 3 year warranty. NOT... Generator does not work properly on arrival and Westinghouse will not warranty the battery.
