Now that we have used it a few times on different applications we really like it, We were not to sure about the size(smaller) when compared to our old one but when we found it to be faster with drying, much quieter ,easy cleanup and great results each time we would not go back to the rotate constantly old way.

I recently got introduced to sweet potato sticks. They are a great natural snack. Not knowing anything about how to make them myself i sought an easy way to make these myself. This machine was mas my ticket to do just that. I've made three batches and must say I'm almost there. Here is a simply way with this machine. Get 3 or 4 sweet potatoes. peel them. I use a vegetable screen to keep them off the bottom of a pot which I use to steam them until a fork penetrates the potato easily. about 40 minutes. Let them cool. Cut into wedges. I then put them in the Dehydrator on about 4 of the 5 trays provided. I dehydrate for 10 hours. remove them and keep in a covered dish as a snack. 12 hours made them two crisp, 6 hours kept them a bit too moist. 10 hours seems to be almost there. I do this at night with a simple timer that I plug the unit into so I don't have to watch it. Hope this helps, enjoy!

For the price, this is a really cool thing. I especially like making meat chips in it. The fan inside is loud, but I'm thinking of taking it apart and adding a WD-40 to solve this problem.

Very simple and easy to use. However small items simply fall through. It's hard to dehydrate items like peas, diced carrots, sliced garlic. It still work but you'll simply need to organize these items in the smaller inner rink. Had no issue dehydrating orange slices and bigger slices of fruit.

Works excellent

It works. It dehydrates but I can do the same in the over at the lowest temps in half the time.

Love it cooks my jerky way good

works like it says i dehydrated jalapeno peppers and anaheim peppers with it. would consider buying one with an adjustable temperature knob but hey great for first time trying to dehydrate to preserve food
