I tried 3 differen mounts before this and this is by far the best to mount an 9 inch Samsung A9 onto the dash of a 2019 Tiguan. Slip the metal plate (provided) underneath the case. The magnet is strong enough to hold on through bumpy roads but also allows one handed removal with ease. It means you can put your tablet out of sight easily when parked. As the mount is on the back all the ports are free. Was easy to stick on to the dash as the suction cup also has a light sticky glue on it. Highly recommend.

I’ve been using this windscreen mount for well over 12 months now and it is excellent. It attaches extremely securely to the windscreen. In the whole time, it has only once come off - recently when we had an extremely hot day; it reattached very easily and has stayed put since. The magnet is strong - I use it for my phone but I have no doubt it would support an iPad. The angle of the support is easy to adjust and stays put. I have bought these for both my son’s and daughter’s cars and they have had no problems. Excellent product.

Not bad, slightly restricted movement.

Bought this as means of using a larger sat nav on my iPad on long drives. Like the idea of a Tesla style screen but not sure i want one permanently so this was a great alternative! Can see this being extremely useful in camping situations/van lifers too.

I bought this to hold a Huawei MediaPad M5 8.4 tablet, and it does that with no problem, even on very bumpy road. Truth to be told, the steel plate it comes with had to be super glued to the outside of the tablet's case because otherwise the distance between it and the magnets would've been too big to hold securely due to the thickness of my case, but that doesn't bother me, so I'm happy with the purchase.On a side note, the adhesive on the steel plate is very strong, make sure you stick it to your case. I imagine it would be very difficult to remove it from your phone. Test the placement without peeling off the adhesive backing first.

Did not stick properly to the dashboard or device as described. Great concept but doesn’t work properly.

Requires plates attached to your device with 3M adhesive tape. Only two plates provided. My devices are in cases so probably could damage the case on removal. On further use the magnet attaches to a Logi case without need for a pad, so a bit more useful than I first thought.

Works great for my Huawei Mate 20X 5G, a big heavy phone if ever there was one. I've attached the phone mount to the windscreen as my dash doesn't have a flat area near the driver, it's all a bit busy. The phone holder works great magnets are extremely strong and the steel plates for the phone are rather large to make full use of the strength of the magnets. Would advise not to stick the plates to your phone but on a case somewhere, this holder is made to hold big heavy phones. If you have a phone around the size of a 6" screen you might want to get hold of smaller steel plates because the ones supplied are big and probably overkill for an average size phone because whatever you stick to your phone case this holder isn't going to drop it.
