Versatile, Powerful Radio with Great Features
The Eton Odyssey All‑Band Bluetooth Radio is a fantastic all‑in‑one unit. It tunes AM, FM, shortwave, and weather bands with clear reception, and the Bluetooth feature makes streaming from my phone easy. Audio quality is loud and crisp considering the size. I love the multi‑power options. It runs on AC, batteries, or hand crank/solar backup, which is great for storms and emergencies. The build feels solid and reliable for both everyday listening and preparedness use. Overall, this radio is versatile, dependable, and feature‑rich. Ideal for home use or emergency kits.

Highly recommended: Outstanding full-featured emergency radio
This radio bears the American Red Cross moniker and fits the bill for emergency preparedness. The ability to charge internal lithium ion battery, switch to AA alkaline or rechargeables, or crank the handle give you plenty of options. If you use AA rechargeables, though, they must be removed and recharged. It even has a small solar panel to self-charge, and the top loop can hang it up or on your pack. Internal light, clock, NOAA radio, and AM, FM, or even shortwave all make this a great radio. The ability to use the USB ports to charge other electronics make this thing special. It's not the smallest or lightest, but it's an outstanding radio.

Four steps forward, one fairly large leap back
Overall, it's an upper end emergency radio with some pros but also some very unfortunate and disappointing cons. Pros: - all the bands you'd want at this price point - lit display is readable - solar panel is not half bad! Keep it on a window sill and it'll stay charged forever. - hand crank is fairly efficient and performant - includes an 18650 (see con below however) - reasonably well built (but see con below) Cons - the battery and battery compartment. What a disappointment in otherwise a well thought out effort. The battery compartment is sealed with a screw. The thread is plastic so it'll wear out, and needless to say the radio has no place on the body to attach and store the diminutive and easily lost screwdriver. Yes the compartment cover is intended to provide a seal but this is solvable with other closure designs that only take a bit more design effort. So, strike 1 for the lazy door. - The 18650 was fairly low capacity, I think about 2.2Ah, so I thought that's fine I'll throw a 3.5Ah cell in there, this isn't a high drain device anyway. Well it turns out the radio uses and includes a cell slightly shorter than the typical 18650. Use a standard cell and it's just long enough to sometimes prevent a continuity switch on the radio from making proper contact with the battery compartment door, preventing the radio from powering on. I believe I'll be able to remedy this with some work but it's disappointing. - Finally, the radio also includes an allowance for three AAA cells. When they are inserted, the unit will not charge the 18650 near as I can tell. This is not a true dual battery supply radio. Anyhow, it's serviceable, in fact fairly good aside from the issues, so I'll hang on to it. It's probably the best of the emergency radios out there, even if it's not perfect.

Poor NOAA reception
This is a well built radio with many options to keep it powered. Dual battery operation is awesome. Easy to operate and great sounding speaker. I appreciate at the bands that it covers. Cons: I have two complaints about the radio. It has the WORST Noaa weather reception of any radio ever. The volume cuts out and drops out during operation and does not lock in to the station. I have several cheaper radios with excellent noaa coverage. This eton is supposed to be a weather radio and it's weakest aspect is its NOAA reception. Second con is the battery compartment door with a weak tiny screw. I don't want to look for a micro Phillips screwdriver to change the battery during an emergency. I really like this radio but will be returning it because I can not accept an emergency radio that fails on its most important feature. This was described as having RDS. NO MENTION OF THAT IN THE ÒWNERS MANUAL.

Multi powered crank radio light and power bank.
Purchased these for each of my children and their significant others. Great idea for any power outage. Great size and value for the money.

It's just ok
1. The device is larger and heavier than expected. 2. The flashlight switch protrudes and is easily activated accidentally. 3. The battery cover is not waterproof, is soft and easily deformed, occasionally causing poor contact and resetting the device. 4. The reception sensitivity is poor and requires extending the antenna. 5. AM FM SW WB Bluetooth

Works better then others.
This one had more features then others. Its true usb c chargeable, meaning I can charge this with a USB c to USB c charger. The best part is the 18650 battery is replaceable. I swap mine out for a nitecore low temperature batteries because I live in a cold temperature state. The ones I had before would die out, I'm thinking because of the cold. I think this combo of nitecore and Eton will be the last time I need to buy one of these.

Would have prefer that stations and volume selection be dials and not rubber and background red light find it too bright to be used at night.Found the torch quite good and manual cranking mechanism to supply energy quite effectively. It feels robust but NOAA is only available in the USA not in Australia. Also speakers are not moist or shower proof.
