Why there is AUX connection in the description?

That's a good question because there isn't an AUX port. The only port on the Soundcore 3 is the charging port. The Soundcore 2 has an AUX port, but the 3 does not. This also brings up the question as to why there is an AUX cable shown in a "bundle deal" with the Soundcore 3 speaker. The two speakers are so different in that regard that unless there has been a substantial design change over the past few months, there is no excuse for Anker to be selling cables that will be useless the moment the package is opened.

What is the difference between soundcore 3 and soundcore select 2? sound quality? stereo?

Select 2 is very similar to Soundcore 3. Both are heavier than Soundcore 2; both output 16 watts as compared to 12 watts in the latter. And they both can be controlled by Anker app. The difference is that Soundcore 3 has titanium driver and has 4 hours more battery time than Select 2. And they both support Partycast. When paired they do not produce stereo sound while two paired Soundcore 2 produce stereo. Please note that Soundcore 2 is not the same as the Soundcore Select 2 which is not sold on Amazon at the time of the writing.

Does this have an auxiliary input?

Unfortunately no it does not the soundcore 2 and motion b do though
