this manga did a wonderful job depicting Gin's route
This is the final volume, and wraps things up fairly neatly. Overall, this manga did a wonderful job depicting Gin's route, with wonderful art, action sequences, and faithfulness to the game.My only wish is that they publish more in the future, to depict other ending and/or possibly the Overclocked version's 8th day extensions to the story.

the manga is pretty far from the canon game
In term of characterization, the manga is pretty far from the canon game. It is still a pleasant read though. Bought this mostly to support Atlus.

Excellent action (demon fighting) manga
From back of book:The pieces are finally falling into place - all that's left is to defeat Belberith and banish the demons. But a change comes over Kazuya after he has taken the remaining power of Bel inside himself. Can he fight the Bel's enormous will and remain true to himself and his friends?Review of Volume 8 (final volume):Gotta love the back cover "all" that's left is to defeat Belberith and banish the demons. Right.Kazuya now knows that he has 'factors' of the original Abel while Naoya is Cain. Cain has lived on through the millennia with with his memories; he blames God for 'making' him kill Abel so he seeks revenge. For some reason Cain has no memory of exactly how stubborn teenagers can be or he might have waited until Kazuya was older.Kazuya just wants his old, normal life back, but he will do anything to make sure that his friends get their normal lives back. Even if it means that he (Kazuya) doesn't get what he wants. Throughout the series, Yuzu and Asturo have been there to provide help; Kazuya could have never survived, much less succeeded, without them. Initially they helped destroy demons and then with their own specific strengths. Asturo is the only one that can convert Haru's song to computer code and Yuzu's belief in Kazuya may be the only thing that makes him strong enough to believe in himself. Will it be enough? Or will some be sacrificed to defeat the demons.Although the book/series isn't perfect, I found it a great read and feel that anyone interested in this type of manga will enjoy it. The action is fast paced, but still allows time for character development.Review of Devil Survivor series:Few books/series are perfect, but this Devil Survivor is very, very good. The art work is well done, consistent, and realistic even though the demons are fantasy creations. The story is based on a game, but the author provides enough information to make the main characters seem like 'real people' with realistic reactions to their situation and the events surrounding them. The ending was satisfying and reasonable.
