Lack of Amazon thinking hampers it
Amazon did their best to get this returned to them.I bought it with the remote but for some reason Amazon don't seem to understand how to have some "boxed with the remote" and some without!They impressed me by delivering it on the same day as I ordered it and then undid all of their work by sending the remote as a separate item via U.S.P.S.I'll bet you can guess what happened next can't you "dear reader?"Yep! The Alexa arrived but the remote didn't and ended up stuck for 24 hours in B.F.E!The Alexa show works, but not well without the remote and it finally arrived 48 hours later and after I received a generous discount not to send it all back for a complete refund.An example? Trying to sign into Netflix without the remote demanded a phone number(which I've never given them) but with the remote wanted a traditional email address and password.Once everything was delivered it is a pretty good experience with one or two exceptions.Alexa Show was easily integrated with the house finding smart switches etc without any effort on my part. I had to tell it which wifi to connect to but that was all.I have other Alexa's in the house but because of that I can't say what it would be like to set up as an only or first unit.The touch screen works fine and it seems to be easy to customise Alexa Show to individual requirements.If you are reading this and have either noticed my user name or spelling then perhaps you will understand an issue on the "Fire tv" side....Being from another country I don't watch your "party political broadcasts" so CNN, Fox News are of no use to me.I tend to watch Sky News from my home country and................ Despite there being an icon for it....It is not available on Fire tv, nor is BBC news.Why not Amazon?I can get these news services on all other streaming devices! Including Youtube, and BBC on an Alexa Dot as a news roundup.Streaming on the Alexa show is good with a great picture but be prepared for gaps with some streamers.I also uploaded my photo's from my phone and a P.C to Amazon photo's. to display on the "Show" as a screen saver and there I encountered another problem.There are no filters!The photo's display on the show and look very good however there appears to be no way to stop the Alexa showing every one of them.So on the one hand you have an online storage and display system for your personal photo's but on the other you have no way of choosing which pictures are displayed.In my case I had pictures on my phone where I needed to document a car accident (not my fault) for an insurance claim and these were all shown on the Alexa over and over. Surely it can't be that hard for Amazon to build a user filter for Alexa Show users???Good job I don't have "risky" photo's!I have had to go into the cloud and delete the pix I don't wan't displayed, which of course defeats the purpose of online storage.Despite the problems above I have been very impressed with the Alexa Show 15.It is honestly a fantastic addition to the Alexa family and I am very pleased with it.I think the reader can see that it's problems are not with the device itself but rather Amazon's lack of thinking about how it might be used.

Totally Helps My Life
I have my Amazon Echo Show 15 mounted on my kitchen wall. It is in an area where I do the majority of my food prep. I have bread machine, a top of the line that has the worse signal when to add extras like seeds, etc. All I do now is walk away and work on other things and ask Alexa to set a timer. When the timer is ready it sends out a loud sound altering me. I have hearing difficulty and it helps so much.I love the Show because it keeps my calendar with great widgets to add for whatever I am looking for; I can even watch a movie if I want. But, mostly I listen to music that I can share to my other Echo devices or let my show work alone. If I wanted to, I could add an external bluetooth speaker to make it even more enjoyable.The screen is bright with a large keyboard that is easy to add information, the touch part of the screen use always works great. It was easy to hookup to my home WiFi and never gives me any type of problem.The Echo Show15 is awesome and well worth the price because of its ability to help keep my life organized.

Worth the Wait!
When the new Echo Show 15 was announced I was thrilled. I have the Echo 5, 8, and 10 and love all of them.The primary reason for this purchase was my desire to have a larger screen that I could more easily manage the many Amazon widgets available to me. I mounted it in my home office and so glad that I did!It’s so easy to install that I actually thought I was doing it wrong because the instructions seemed so simple.Pros:• Easy to Mount with the wall Mount. Screen comes with the wall Mount template, Mount, and bolts.• Easy fast setup if you have other Amazon devices.• Very good loud sound quality. I started the setup and went upstairs to grab something and could hear Alexa announcing she was done with the setup all the way upstairs!• Love the Large screen and easy to use widgets. It will take a while for me to figure out which widgets I get the most use of, but appreciate the many options that will help me manage my day and home.Cons:• No base or stand is included. This could be a downer for anyone living in an apartment where you can’t just drill into the wall. Ideally you should get a base for the screen, however it only comes with the screen and wall Mount w/Bolts.• You can’t swivel on the Mount from Landscape to Portrait mode. Choose wisely when mounting it. If you want to change the physical orientation of the screen you must remove it and re-apply in the new orientation.• Some setup features wouldn’t work during setup such as Voice ID. I wanted to create a profile for my son so he can add to the events, reminders, and grocery list. The screen would not advance after the first requested prompt he had to repeat. After 4 attempts we decided to skip it and we will try again at another time.I am strongly considering installing one of these in each of my rooms of my house to replace the existing 5/8/10 Echo Shows. Looks lovely and very easy to use.
