Love this machine.
I was looking for a hot cup replacement as mine was on its way out, stumbled upon this and thought I'd give it a try. So pleased that I did! It's perfect for me, much better than the hot cup.You get instant water at either 100°, 85° or ambient. And it really is instant. You can choose from 200, 300 or 500ml to dispense. One of my mugs hold a little over 300 so when I use that I just hit 500 and stop it when I need it to. Just FYI, when you press the amount you want a 2nd time it'll stop it, but do it a second or 2 before you want it to stop, as it doesn't stop instantly.I also like the fact it has a filter so you know the water is really clean, also good to know its helping my machine live longer and need less maintenance than you would have otherwise. It is a bit more expensive but well worth it in my opinion. It's perfect for me as someone who lives alone most the time. I would say if you are often making 3+ drinks at once then this isn't the machine for you, normal kettle would be better. Making 1 or 2 at once its perfect. Would say around 20/30 secs per mug depending on size.

Great quality and very reasonably priced too
I have kept this, I used to have a britta that was a better unit. This one does what it should, the water temperatures are correct according to my thermometer. I have to top it up at least once a day as the capacity is low, which I knew when I bought it. Its pretty noisy when boiling and needs to be both descaled and a new filter replaced every 3-4 weeks, which is very time consuming, for each of the separate functions. The instant hot water is what we use it mainly for cooking and hot drinks. It has to be washed out daily, so that the water is clean, which only takes a few minutes. It hasnt leaked and overall we are happy with it. The functionality and quality are both good.

Water leak
Water leaks at the bottom on the first day of use. So I return it immediately. It maybe due to the design of the dispenser. That’s why it is fortunate for me to find out the issue before it is too late to return. Not recommended.

Good!
The quality is good and the outlook is great. It is easy to use. It really provides the hot water immediately. Some says the water flow is little, but for me it is okay as I just use it to make a tea.

Fantastic water filter for everyday use
I was concerned about how useful this water filter would be instead of using a kettle. I feel it is a great purchase. My husband uses a flask for work hence we still need the kettle to fill this as it is problematic to do this from the machine. However if it was not for that i could get rid of my kettle which is one of the highest electrically used item in a household

The worst customer service in the world.
Unit failed after three months. Philips don't want to know, tried their customer support and got sent round several phone numbers and in the end they could not help. I will never purchase a Philips appliance again.
