Great value but also great tent
I've had this tent for about 7 years and have used it all over North America in all conditions at least 100 nights. I don't know if I have an older version, but the floor is one piece, the fly is pretty heavy duty - if you steak it down well and put a piece of velcro or tape where the poles cross, it'll withstand some wind - however the fly has large gaps and the tent itself is mostly mesh - you can build up snow around these areas in the winter, colder nights at JTree ya might want to find some cover.Setup is extremely simple with 1 or 2 people - it's impressively easy. So breaking down camp exhausted after a summit push is 4-5% less annoying than some highly engineered Big Agnus poles. All my plastic clips for the fly are still intact and working. Sleeps 2 adults easily - the vestibule is great for stashing gear and/or digging a boot well under. It packs down pretty small and the poles are all straight so those slide into a pack easily and don't take up much space. If you leave the fly, the weight is cut by quite a bit!I really don't have anything negative to say about this tent, to be honest. At this price point, what more can you ask for? If you want to go lighter weight, spend more or get creative with a tarp and blanket!ideal for: budget adventurers, intro backpackers, weekend warriors

Lightweight and waterproof
This tent is very lightweight and suitable for backpacking. I spent a night in it during very heavy rain and it didn’t leak at all. The color is bright so I can use it in a car campground without worrying about some drunk accidentally driving over me in the middle of the night. It’s very easy to put up. I highly recommend it. I’m very sorry that Eureka! is going out of business.

Great tent!!!
I really like this tent! I took it out for the first time last weekend. I had to set it up in the dark with only car headlights to guide me. The tent clips on to the poles, and it was intuitive and easy to set up. It rained all night, and I was bone dry in the morning. This was true even though the ground was rock hard and I couldn't stake the vestibule into the ground. It therefore sat right up against the side of the tent, and it didn't leak. It is lightweight, and the bathtub style of floor goes up a few inches. It is a heavier material than the rest of the tent and seemed pretty waterproof. There was water under the tent due to the heavy rain and the way I pitched the tent and yet none of it came through the bottom of the tent. The poles are metal, but lightweight, and the pegs are also very lightweight. Inside it was roomy for one person -- but would be a tight squeeze for two people. Overall I like the tent and would buy another one is I lost this one or damaged it somehow. Keep up the good work Eureka!

one of the best weight to performance options.
Great weight for a budget 3 person tent. Ive hiked about 75 mile with this thing on my back so far and its been fine. You can find lighter tents but its hard in this price range. Setup is simple and the tent is a true 3 person tent! My wife, brother, and I all fit on a hunting trip a little snug but adequate shoulder room between each other. For 2 people its very spacious and can fit most all of your gear inside. The vestibule is good for one pack and some shoes its a touch tiny. I've only had it out in the rain once on the first trip out but it was an all night downpour and there were zero leaks. Its been an awesome tent so far and i highly recommend it.

Waste of money!
The worst quality tent I've ever bought. This is not a Eureka anymore. 'Lighter' than previous version because the groundsheet is thinner than ever. Damp grass is enough to make everything inside wet(!). Mesh got messed up within a few weeks and I had a hole in the ground sheet on the second day. Bought this as a replacement for the spitfire duo xt, but threw it in the trash as soon as I got back from my trip. If you expect the eureka quality of the old times, look elsewhere.

Easy set-up
Bought as a gift for a Boy Scout. Easy to set up and relatively light weight for its size and design purposes. Good quality materials. Delivered as advertised.

Have not put to much test yet but
It goes up easy and simple, packs well, seems plenty decent for its price. It was the perfect price point for if its not good enough I can spend a zillion dollars in a year or two, but this seems more than good enough for the foreseeable future. Perfect for me, the wife, and maybe now and again the little one. I have an amazing 4 person tent for car camping but bought this for backpacking.

Great little tent
I really like this tent. It is small, light weight, and easy to install. There is a vestibule to store shoes and other items and extra loops inside the tent which can be used to hang things. I particularly like the large mesh shelf that hang above head to dry clothing. The price was reasonable for a well-constructed and good quality tent.I bought this tent so it would be small enough to pack in my kayak and it definitely made a difference... I separated the poles and pegs from the rest and was able to fold the tent bag in two so it could fit snugly in a small and narrow hatch. It is definitely a one-person tent despite being advertised for two people. It would otherwise be very cosy...The only downside: there was a missing loop and cord on the outside of the tent so I was unable to peg one end of the tent. Fortunately it did not rain. I found something that will make up for it and will need to sew it for my next expedition.

Wow, for this price I am blown away
I’m comparing this to an MSR single person tent that I own and I’m impressed. I bought the Suma 3 person because I was taking my daughter to the backcountry for the first time and needed the space.1) This barely weighs more than my MSR elixir 1 and barely takes up more space in the pack2) poles were very good quality3) the gear loft was great and there are so many little gear pockets.4) good amount of space - but you can only expect to get 2 people in this if you are using 25” width self inflating mattresses.5) Rained the first night and we stayed 100% dry. Not a drop in the tent.My only complaint is the ground footprint sheet is sold separate but came with my MSR. But at a price point even with adding that that is half the price of buying an MSR Elixr 3, I am not going to complain.

Pass on this company. Item delayed. Had to pay return shipping.
Love this tent. Eureka never disappoints. It’s lightweight, packs again like a gem. But… Ordered this tent for a trip. It sat in BC for 3 days , was suppose to be delivered on October 5… then the 6… then the 10… then arrives on the 11. I ended up driving 100 km to the city to buy the same tent from the store for the trip. Shipper provided no support. The company approved the return but made me pay to ship it. Why pay for prime for no guaranteed shipping and no service? Pass on this company.
