Art Deco Emporium Hard Plastic and Vintage Bakelite Renovation Polishing Paste 60 g

Bought this to clean up a cloudy looking, old, hard plastic, tractor badge. Didnt take much effort to achieve a really clear looking badge. Well impressed

Perfectly formulated for cleaning bakelite. Bakelite appears to oxidise and form a crusty, unpleasant and rough surface, particularly when exposed over time to pollution and nicotine. I used it to clean up bakelite instruments from a signal box where prolonged exposure to soot, smoke and nicotine had left it dull and crusty. You will need to clean several times, wiping away the brown, nasty residue that it removes. Very fine steel wool can be helpful with the product as well but beware of scratches (VERY fine wire wool).This stuff will clean, polish and shine but you may need repeated applications before it is returned to an age-related patina (it may never return to ‘as new’).Highly recommended and will last a long time as there’s a generous amount in the tube. Get some.

Purchase this to help restore a wall mounted phone from the late 1800s.the results were very good and are lasting a long time.It's easy to use, very similar to mettle polish, put a little bit on a cloth and start buffing..It's not cheap but you don't use much so based on that this size tube should last years..Overall I am very happy with the results.

I recently got this to use on a 1950s Smiths Sectric clock it worked very well the Bakelite is much cleaner and Polished up to a lovely shine.
